Maybe cause he's lived like 20 miles from USC his whole life. Which could work or go either way for us. He's gonna be a Vol, but you can't be threatened or rushed by the recruiting process. He's making sure all angles are covered.

How on earth can anyone...I mean ANYONE sit back and logically analyze whats going on an 18 year old kids mind. Sorry. All these numbers are complete fabrications pulled out of thin air that hold ZERO water.

Here's a number for you: 50% - He either comes here or he doesn't...its that simple.

The numbers being thrown out are just people’s thoughts on where js MIGHT be going based on reports. No one knows for sure except js and he might not know yet either. To freak out about people throwing out numbers is just plain DUMB. Don’t look at the numbers if you don’t like them.

At this point I believe that we just need a name for other recruits to base their decisions on. If you are a big time WR or OL do you want to commit to a team that hasnt signed an exciting QB in two years. The name IMO is as important to recruiting offensive players as the potential. Right now, potential offensive recruits have nothing to base their decision to come to UT on.

To be honest I thought most people said that was what B. Brown was going to do.. If I remember correctly "Man if we could just land him as the #1 recruit in the country they all will want to come here".. I'm not saying you said it..This thread just made me think of it, but I will say "This may not a good of a recruiting set of coaches as I thought if we don't land him"..I know I have already read the responses "You are expecting to much from them", "It takes a couple years for thr kids to know them" and several others...Well this is the 3rd highly sought after QB that we missed out on if I'm not mistaken.. I do have a question though "Was last NSD a fluke if I'm expecting to much".. I do agree it is really early in the process, but that doesn't seem to matter much to a lot of the other schools that seem to be getting commits from kids.. Hopefully this all for not and we will get him, but it does make you wonder just a little bit..

Update from USC camp - nothing new or too revealing.

We knew coming into the camp that the USC coaches wanted to extend one offer to a quarterback and that offer came today when Jesse Scroggins (Lakewood, Calif.) got the nod after another solid session on Thursday morning. Scroggins did not commit but he said he could come to a decision in the next several weeks between USC, Florida and Tennessee.

I feel like this is a positive for UT. I figured if USC was his standout favorite, he would have committed soon after getting the offer. This leads me to believe he is truly undecided between at least two schools, and I would think that would be USC and Tennessee.
