Yeah bad example...it's all I could come up with off the top of my head...

I'm trying to think of an example of something you HAVE to do...

Something you are certain you have to do everytime you participate in a certain activity...

Something that's so obviously a part of that activity that to complain about it would be utterly ridiculous...

Like chewing before you swallow...or turning the TV on before you watch it...

Got any ideas?

Oh wait..this is supposed to be about Scroggins....

Nevermind

Nice try....obvious fail.

Its like this: theres always the smelly kid in kindergarten. Are you gonna keep letting him stink the place up for everyone or tell him to take a bath?

It's time to take a bath, stinky kid.

"Fail" is completely underused.

Not.

I understand where you're coming from but I've also been a member here long enough to know that weeding through the crap is something that has to be tolerated

IMO...Sabanochio, hvwarrior, rexvol, LWSVol, jmva1...they know what they're talking about...

Volman38 absolutely, positively has no clue and pretty much lies about anything he claims as a fact (his professional career, his scouting ability, his connections)...

Everyone else has opinions and some occasional inside info and that's about 90% of what you're going to get here

he isn't going to USC.. if all things were even such as depth chart he would prob pick USC for distance but they aint and he aint.

TN

I don't know how much stock you can put into this, but I don't think he has committed to USC because he hasn't taken the rock picture off of his myspace profile and he was online today.Again I don't put much stock into that but it can't hurt.

He knows what ide his bread is buttered on. His future is as a VOL. He knows and realizes this. His parents will get his blessing and he will commit. They would like him to stay close, but they also want him to play and aso be happy with his decision. He's gonna be a VOL. Have faith VN.

"I was hoping for the offer," Scroggins told ESPN affiliate Web site WeAreSC.com. "I was working so hard for it, so to actually get it is a great feeling." He also added that No. 1-overall Class of 2009 prospect Matt Barkley's presence on USC's roster will not effect his decision, "It definitely does not scare me. I want to be the best and I work so hard for it, and while other kids were playing video games and laying down my dad had me outside working."

Per WeAreSC.com

He wanted the offer, but did he commit on the spot when he got the offer? The answeris NO. Calm down, it's part of the process, he'll evaluate the pros and cons, and make the right decision, which will be to ATTEND UT!!!!!!

ok so last week we knew that he wanted a usc offer, now that he has one everyone's freaking out because he's happy about...what did you expect his reaction to be? should he be upset about receiving an offer from sc? should he ignore it? none of this is new information, he has not committed to anyone, he's happy about an offer that we all knew that he wanted...volnation needs a xanax.

The reason I am discouraged is the fact that he couldn't participate at UF or UT, but he could go full out at USC and tried his hardest to get that offer.

The offer itself does not bother me. And the more I think about it the fact he wanted to impress the home team and the home fans doesn't surprise me. I would want to do that too.

The fact he didn't commit on the spot is also telling. He is using his head and if that is the case. He is a Vol!

Man, I just changed positions in the course of writing this post :)

you just had to look at the facts...the truth will set you free.:)

My 0.02 cents..

I think all this hype about USC is kinda being blown out of porportion. The kid went to this camp to compete for an offer. As Sab as said numerous times, the kid wanted an offer from his hometown school and also the biggest in the country. When he won this competition and received the offer I'm sure he was ask several times.. " Well, how about it, you coming to USC" in which he probaly responded " Well, I want to commit to USC, but I want to think about it first".
If he was going to commit to USC he would have done so on the spot. Now I'm not saying the kid won't eventually commit to USC. But right now he is proably weighing all three schools.
What does a kid say when Pete Carroll ask how about it? You can't just say no!

You have to reply like he did. Giving all these MODS and news people plenty to feed off of..

I still think we land Scroggins.. He has the best oppurtunity.

If Scroggins doesn't come to UT, it's because he beleives it will be a immense amount of pressure coming in knowing he will start as a freshman and trying to rebuild this oat one time powerhouse football program. And for that, you can't blame him..

But in the end.. I think he comes to play for us..

Would you rather have this pressure on you or sit behind Matt Barkley for 3 years.

I don't think Barkley will be a flop.. but good point on does he like pressure or not. That will be one of the deciding factors for landing JS (as you said before.)
