Which school will Scroggins verbally commit to tomorrow?

I'm just not crazy about the cut of his jib. I think he's talented and looks to have the tools to be a very good QB, but I just hope it comes without drama.

I felt better when I thought he was going to decide this coming week..

Now that's it's dragged out a bit.. Its really hard to tell..


Hopefully we gave him something that stuck in his mind..

I do feel he's more of a VOL lean, but it's hard to turn down a Florida and a possible USC offer...just the truth.

I don't want to start saying he's on our team yet because i don't want to be disappointed.

He said he would make the decision after the USC camp, in the next week or so. I don't recall him ever saying that he would announce that decision. He might still be making his decision at the same time as before, but now he's a picked a time and a place with an audience to announce it. At least that's the way I'm understanding it. :dance:

I like your take on it.. And that could quite possibly be it..
I just don't like the idea of Meyer and Carroll in his ear for an extra month.. But I guess they still would be even he commited to us tomorrow too..

In the meantime, do we offer someone else such as Rettig, etc... or do we sit and wait putting all our eggs in one basket? It would very telling of how confident the staff feels in Scroggin's commitment if we do or do not offer another QB.

One thing I thought of is if he does go to UF they are out of the running next year for a QB recruit. I do not want this but something positive out of it is we will be prime for a top 3 QB to come here. We would still take JC QB too so just looking at the positive.

Meyer is a POS for knowingly lying to Scroggins about changing the offense. And it isn't even like it is the first time he has flat out lied to get a recruit. I think Scroggins is a good kid from what I can tell, but if he falls for Urban's line here he deserves everything he gets. Point blank....Urban doesn't want him going to another SEC school, and that is what this is all about.

The fact that he is even considering UF is showing a level of naivety that is worrisome.

This is sort of why I'm wondering if Scroggins is or will be a silent.

There's just no way he's dumb enough to believe that Meyer will run a pro-style offense. I've heard nothing about Scroggins that makes me think he's that slow, intellectually.

That's conventional PR thought. CLK is not conventional and I just can't see Scroggins believing the Urban Meyer line.

Who knows if Urban will even be at UF when Scroggins enrolls? His dream job will be available unless ND does something well beyond their current trajectory.

The interest in UF just doesn't make any sense.

I can see an interest in USC, but that's a long line of QB's to wait behind for a chance to play. He'd only have one season to play by the time Matt is done there. Still, he'd likely make it to the league in their system unless they recruited some stud to replace him. That certainly happens at USC.

Maybe they'll just ask BJ to come back.

Or, maybe they'll solve the QB problem the way the Dolphins did. Snap the ball to Brown!

I dont beleive UCLA was ever in the picture...

As far as other's in the run.. I'm more worried about UF that USC..
There is just something about Urban throwing out the red carpet at this kid to spite us than doesn't give me an easy feeling..
