That was an awesome piece by Feldman. Scroggins was destined to be a qb. Kid would walk wheel barrow style for a mile or so. Dad was inspired by National Geo! He thought we got too weak as we started walking upright. Awesome stuff

why are people convinced we would take a commitment from him if he were ready to commit? I'm not convinced we are at that point to take commitment from any quarterback yet. IMO, staff is still evaluating quarterbacks. That is exactly what they were doing yesterday and will continue to do that.
I jsut don't think they are ready to "commit" that 2010 kid yet... everyone talks like we are??

Yeah,
If we have offered a kid then we are obliged to take their commitment at anytime. Not sure what the rules are, but that makes sense to me. We like the kid enough, we offer, he commits at anytime, we take him. That simple.

It's not always that simple, but with Scroggins you take a commitment when he gives it. Too many other BIG schools are going after him.
So, we should just take his commitment because he is ready to give it?? The coaches let prospects know when they are ready to take a commitment, not the other way around. QB is a need, but it's something that you base your future on so you had better be sure. We could already have a QB commit ready to come on board, but the coaches maybe making sure they have covered their bases before going public.
You can't pass on Scroggins' committment. He has done too much to prove he can play at this level....
You sure he's #1 on their board?? I haven't seen that information posted anywhere.![]()
Please tell me when he has started a game for UT?? He hasn't proven anything other than he has performed well in some camps. What if he bombs at our camp like the other QB's did?? Will everyone be screaming then?? He hasn't proved anything yet, and he hasn't showed up yet either.
That is your opinion of course, but years of experience on our coaching staff in evaluating talent wins here my friend.![]()
Going by that logic, no QB ever prove themselves. He has recieved an offer to play QB from the last 3 national champions. If he gets the USC offer, he will have an offer from 6 of the last 7 national champions (countin the USC/LSU split). That's about the most impressive offer list a QB can recieve especially when you add in Tennessee's offer and the offer from the QB coaching master, Sarkisian...
