I was saying Mason is better than Hendix...

Kasen Williams is 2011s #1 WR and plays on the same team as Jake Heaps...

Kasen Williams certainly looks like one of the top WR's prospects in the country. But a guy by the name of Teddy Bridgewater out of Miami might give Williams a run for his money for the top spot.

I like Hendrix way more than I like Mason. I don't understand this board's fascination with Hutson Mason. I didn't think he looked that spectacular on film.

IMO, Neither Mason or Hendrix look great, but that's why they're coming in as the number 2 guy.

No kidding. Bridgewater is a freak of freaking nature. If he's not #1 next year, somebody miscounted.

Hutson Mason (against top competition in Georgia)

Andrew Hendrix (against mediocre competition in Ohio)

You can't just go on stats. You have to look at the prospect. The systems could be completely different, there could be injuries other things involved in stats. Watch the video. Hendrix looks much better than Mason. Bigger arm, better footwork, more developed as a passer, more accurate. There is a reason only GA Southern and Iowa have offered Mason.

Wondering how you came up with that? He was in the highest division in Ohio, and Ohio is a great state for football. Explain please Vader

Ohio is always a great state for football. This is true.

Especially the Catholic Schools, which Moeller is (I'm pretty sure). He probably played many Catholic Schools that boasted a ton of talent.

Also, Want to say same high school as Ryan Childress.

Ohio, Fla, Cali, Texas, and Ga are the top HS football states IMO. Kirk Hurbstreit (sp?) has a HS invitational games. MBA (i think) played someone and got killed. Ohio def has talent.

Huh? Plays in strongest program in Cincy...? Yeah in the 1970's maybe.

Saw him 5 times last season...His film is very very misleading IMO.

This was a post by Ohio Vol on VQ. I believe I misunderstood what he said about the school. But apparently he has seen Hendrix play...

Nevertheless, Mason (70%) is MUCH more accurate than Hendrix (61%). There is no question to that. He has also been very impressive in the past couple of combines he has been to:

NC State is making a big push to get Hutson to campus this weekend to see their spring game. After the Atlanta combine this past week Hutson has been hearing through his HS Coach that several schools want him to visit. Should have gotten on board early like UT and Purdue and Iowa and some of the others. I knew this would happen after he got in front of several scouts "eyes". UGA coaches had him call and they told him they had several "eyes" call them to notify them about his performance. Article on "TOS" talks about his accuracy and arm strength. Note: He and Connor Shaw finished 1 and 2 at QB and had a pass off. Hutson just missed a 40 yard pass into the wind and Connor Shaw hit a 10 yard out. Nash Nance or Blake Sims or any of the other dozen QB's present were'nt even in the running ( that's not a slap at them, just reality). He also made the top 8 offensive players in the combine out of over 200 invited athletes from the south. Time for UT to make it's move and pull the trigger! Go Vols!

I just can't see what you are talking about. Watching the two on video it is clear who the better prospect is. And obviously the coaches know too because they have been on Hendrix for awhile now and aren't anywhere near Mason.

This could be skewed. I remember hearing something about MSU's quarterback last season. He actually had a percentage around 50. When you took out all of the drop sit was like 64.

Matt Ryan was the same way. His jumped from like 60 to 70 if you took out drops

I'm just stating what a guy in Ohio said about Hendrix who seen him play...

28 TDs > 11 TDs
70% > 61%

I like to form my own opinions rather than being told what to think by the coaches...:good!:

But you just said you were going by what some guy in Ohio had to say. I'm confused.

Watch the video and form your own opinion. Like I did.

I honestly think there isn't too much that separates them from watching their videos and hearing stuff about them from their camps and stuff. They seem pretty close in overall talent level.

Notice I said "coaches", not "someone who has actually seen him play". I have been big on Mason from the start and low on Hendrix. But I hope me and Ohio Vol are wrong cuz it looks like Hendrix is gonna be a Vol...

I know what you mean. I know whenever I'm forming an opinion I make it a point to never listen to people who know what the hell they are talking about.

Well coaches from Cincinatti, Louisville, Maryland, Purdue, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Nebraska among others have given their nod to Hendrix.

And I can't see how you can watch the video and not see the differences. Hendrix is much more smooth and has better footwork. More accurate on the long balls too.

I like Hutson Mason better, personally. From the videos I have seen Mason seems to have better footwork and a better throwing motion, but a weaker arm. He seems to like the pocket better and has smoother footwork when he drops back. It appears from the vids that he is willing to look for the open receivers longer, and he keeps his feet moving in the pocket.

I really dont know how you can gauge accuracy on the long balls, though. Its not like they show incomplete passes, and most the long balls are caught in stride from both QBs.
