He seems reliable enough to me...maybe doesn't go about it the right way, but usually has pretty good info.

Now Sab, you know he's gained connections ever since he was offically "media". He's brought a lot of great guest on his show. He almost had Jim Chaney last week.

That doesn't make him any more reliable. Dude is nothing but a showboater. His contacts are Blur and NYC and whatever recruit he happens to be messaging on Facebook.

Hey, I'm polite to the guy, but I call him out on his BS at the same time. Read his posts. He always tries to act like he's doing something noble and holding back information, when in fact he knows no more than the average VN poster. LWS is 10X more reliable than this joker.

I agree with the noble part. I've told him that his posts resemble parts of an autobiography, but I think the guy just has a serious problem with being misunderstood. I think he just tries too hard to be keep his image clean. I don't really blame him though since he wants to be a media figure.

The truth behind his tantrums is far different than that. He was on VN years ago with the exact same attitude and that was before he had a radio show. He's gotten slightly better, but his opinions are worth no more than any of the recruiting gurus around here and less in most cases.

Remember this is the joker that was listing reasons why Oku wasn't going to be a Vol on his show at the same time his commitment was announced over on VQ.

What did you base your "calling it" on? I don't remember any news at that time that would lead anyone to believe he'd come to UTK.

This thread is really getting off topic here, but I based it on the fact that he was committed here for so long and it wasn't until Trooper Taylor got in his ear that he got confused and claimed to be de-committed. Syracuse was never really a factor, and he had stated that he really liked Eddie Gran. UT made much more sense for him from a depth chart standpoint as well.

Ultimately I knew when the buzz from his visit to Auburn wore off, he would remember why he chose the Vols in the first place. I trusted the coaches to be able to break through that negative recruiting that Trooper heaped upon us.

You can ask Eric about this we had many phone conversations where we talked about Oku.

There are more reasons as well, but I just maintained the entire time that he would still end up a Vol.

back to the scroggins thing. I would love to have heaps or scroggins, and i have watched film on both of them, but can't exactly claim that I know how to evaluate them. obviously, both of their films make them look good.

for the sake of this question, we will assume that the claim that we could easily get scroggins and hendrix is correct.

the question is, would you rather wrap up scroggins/hendrix or would you rather get heaps, and have a good shot to get kasen williams?

I like Hendrix way more than I like Mason. I don't understand this board's fascination with Hutson Mason. I didn't think he looked that spectacular on film.
