09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

Those are good programs, but I must say I like our chances with this kid.

Give me Coleman, Randolph, Martin, Loften, Lanier, and Moore, and I can't really find many weaknesses in that. Not to mention Janzen, Brewer, PWagg, Evans, Teague coming back. Should be a solid secondary.

Our linebackers lose a lot with Reveiz and Thompson, however, we still keep Austin Johnson who really was a solid contributor there, plus Herman Lathers, King, Askew, Mitchell-Thornton, Propst, Crump, Martaze Jackson, and newcomers A.J. Johnson, Christian Harris, and possibly another LB or two in Lamar Dawson or Gionni Paul. We're solid there too.

Our D-Line loses Chris Walker, but we're getting Ben Martin back, along with Marlon Walls. Plus, we'll still have Jacques Smith, Corey Miller, Malik Jackson, Willie Bohannon, Montori Hughes, Arthur Jeffery, plus newcomers Maurice Couch, Jordan Williams, Allan Carson, and Saulsberry. Plus, who knows, we may pull off 1 or more of Gabe Wright/Jeoffrey Pagan/Anthony Chickillo. It's all possible. Our D Line is not looking badly at all.

Our D is going to shape up in these next few years, and with our OL getting rebuilt, and some playmakers coming in..it's going to be a nice ride up.

This guy could only help all of that. Fantastic defensive back.

you remember "toast" but forget to add gordon's name?

Oh wow, yes, how could I forget him? I dislike the Gordon bashing on here. If our players played with Gordon's physicality and intensity, we'd be a SCARY team.

exactly!!!!!
i HATE that everyone on here bashes him also. especially when people like st. nick do no wrong in their minds.
just wanted to make sure that you remember Mr. Gordon

That's true Oakland. I just remember him saying he'd like to stay on the left coast, and while we're an up and coming team, Oregon has a reputation now that they've got. I still like where we are with him, but that is definitely a good offer from them.

Oregon was one of the schools that Kiffin blocked during his release from USC... UCLA and Oregon are high on his list. Ducks were waiting on his grades from this quater before they offered.

If we do wind up signing Byron moore, how many years does he have to play and when does his eligibility start?

Hubbs likes where we are with Moore but I'm saying long shot. I'd be surprised if he chose Tennessee.

What about Eric Gordon and Nyshier Oliver? Wonder if Sapp contributes other than ST?

California has offered Moore

"I canceled my trip to Arizona next week," said Moore. "So just Tennessee this month and then the rest in January. Ohio State will get the fourth one. We're just working on the date."

Moore has set visits to Washington and Oregon State in January as well.

"My fifth visit will be between LSU, Miami, Ole Miss and Boise State," said Moore

This guy's interest from everyone just seems to be blowing up. Is this kid as good or better than loften?

There has been a reccuring theme going on for a long while now. Our staff offers way out in front of most, then all the other staffs follow suit. We have a great staff as far as evaluating talent goes.

"About two weeks ago I received an email from (defensive coordinator) coach (John) Chavis asking me if I would be interested," Moore said. "Coach Robinson called a couple of days later and I've talked to him again and he's coming out here to see me."

"I have a real strong interest in them," Moore said. "I want to talk to them more and get a chance to see if it (visit) happens, talk to the coaches and get more in depth with them.

"I want a place where I can go in and play early and get on the field," Moore said. "They (LSU) want more of an older guy to come in with the guys they're losing. They want an older guy to come in and lead the younger guys coming through."

It sounds like we may be left hanging now that he's blowing up. I really hope finals week is just making me feel negative though

Wow, this guys continues to pick offers. How is this young man not rated a 5* with an offer list like his?
