Jackson is moving to CB as long as we can put a capable safety in his spot either way. I'm not arguing...I haven't watched any film on Moore. I am just surprised that you guys think he will have a Couch like impact. Dude must be beastly.

IMO IF we land Moore then Jackson would stay at Saftey because you would have Moore who is the same size as Jackson at CB.

Then if we could land Lanier with Moore we could have:

CB: Moore, Gordon, Waggner, Evans
FS: Jackson, Martin
SS: Brewer, Randolph
CB: Lanier, Teague, Oliver, Coleman

Never said he couldn't, just said I haven't seen his tape and was surprised at the comparison based on what I have seen on couch....and JJ will be a CB. Book that shiz.

As of right now no I dont think we get Moore. We wont know anything until NSD or after with him. He is taking visits in Jan to other schools.

As of right now I still think we get Lanier, but I dont think he commits this weekend as I once thought. IF he shows up, he has'nt been confirmed to be on campus YET. Florida is a school to watch out for, suppose to visit them next week.

If there is one thing I have learned about recruiting ands message boards. Don't ask posters what they think cause if u don't like there answers u can typically ask again in a couple days. Not always posters fault more like we all never really know till they put pen to paper.

My guess would be either Meline is gone or is moved back to WR.

i ahve heard that the coaching staff is only taking the two WR that have already committed. if thats the case and with the fact that they seem to be going after at least 2 more DB's, would it seem that Meline is going back to WR and will actually get to play now?

He might get moved back to WR, but he'd probably still be behind Hunter, Rogers, Arnett, Rogers, Williams, Milton, and Dallas

If you read my post carefully, you will see that I gave no hint of us cutting Martin loose, rather that if we bring in more JUCO help at DB, he or some others might start looking around of their own accord.

Tennessee is not going to ask Martin to move -- period. He is too good for anything like that.

Back to remedial reading comprehension course for all of you -- I did not even hint that we would ask Martin to look elsewhere. I did suggest that if we bought in both JUCO players (Lanier and Moore) that a few of our current recruits might look elsewhere on their own accord.

If you read back to earlier posts on the kid, I like Martin a lot -- he is a great recruit and certainly not a player that we would run off in any way.

My understanding is that we are recruiting Lanier as a CB and Moore as a Safety. That way, Lanier could be put on the best wide receiver, with a killer set of safeties to handle anything that got behind the CB's.

Are you seeing both Lanier and Moore as CB's??
