09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

"I didn't come here with a lot of expectations." Moore told InsideTennessee.com. "It was a lot better than I expected it to be. I had a great visit, the last two days have been incredible."

It appears that the former USC player won't make a rush decision.

"I haven't committed to UT yet," Moore smiled. "I probably won't make my final decision until signing day.

UCLA sucking azz this season has to open his eyes to the direction of that program. Of the the schools out west seems that Oregon is the biggest risk atp.

Sucks we had to be the first visit, but I'm ecstatic we really impressed him. Glad we #1 for now.

Really hope we get him. I have a feeling we're going to stay on him hard until NSD. This is the exact kind of DB/player Dooley wants. Not to mention Wilcox. He would be a huge impact.

Moore has set up an OV to Ohio State on Dec. 17. He will visit Oregon State and Washington next month. He has yet to schedule his 5th

The guy hasn't taken other visits this time around. I wonder how many visits he took when he came out of HS and committed to USC?

"I met with (Ole Miss wide receivers) Coach (Ron) Dickerson (Jr.) last week and we had a good meeting," Moore said. "I want to go check it out."

"Everybody is even," Moore said. "I'm trying to see where the best fit would be. I want to go somewhere where I'd have the opportunity to start. I want to get on the field. …Everybody wants to win. There'd be no reason to play the game if you didn't want to win. I also want a school that produces guys at my position and sends them to the league. I want to play at a school that sends guys to the NFL and for a position coach who has produced guys at my position."
- Rivals.

Moore also said he would like to play in the SEC & thats why Ole Miss, LSU, & Tennessee stands out. He also said he has heard the stuff about people saying he will stay on the West Coast & that it's not true.

does joseph have a solid resume?

Yeah, LA Tech has produced a ton of top NFL DBs. :)

All kidding aside, I think that you could argue that Tennessee has a reputation of producing quality DBs (EB being at the top of the list of course). While it's a new staff it doesn't fail that people still associate professionals more with the schools they come from than the coaches they are coached by.

Greer is a pretty good on as well.

I wasnt bashing Joseph. All I was saying is I dont think he has put anyone in the league.

i meant it in a good way. he seems to be in a lot of the recruiting process and seems to be in on some of the best commitments we have right now. never would have thought that when he was hired. hell i never even heard of half of this staff when they were hired
