09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

A poor man's Eric Berry? Not as much in the run game, but he reminds of EB in the way he appears to be a ball hawk and then when he picks it he looks like he instantly becomes a legitimate threat to score every time.

Both Lanier and Moore would be great gets, and there is zero doubt that both would be immediate takes. Should we land both, the numbers game may well work itself out by a few of our DB commits deciding to look around on their own accord -- Pat Martin comes to mind, as does Loften.

I continue to have serious concerns about Loften academically. Even if he gains admission, his ability to remain in school and academically eligible will always be in question. Given a choice between Loften and Moore it is a no-brainer, with Moore the clear winner due to academics and quality experience.

We keep Pat Martin. He bleeds Orange and too good to tell to go elsewhere.

Seriously absurd comment. We tell a guy who is recruiting like heck for us, hey why dont you go look around you top 250 stud freshman safety.

Telling Pat Martin to look around might be one of the most ridiculous comments I have heard on this site. And thats saying something.

Martin has said all along he was going to take his visits for the fun of it. This is nothing new. Whoever said this staff is telling Martin to look around should be permanently banned from this site.

I'd take Moore over Lanier, he has the ability & size to move from CB to S. Great versatility for Wilcox's system.

Moore should get bumped up to a 4* once Rivals updates their rankings of JUCO's.

Moore has cancelled his visit to Arizona & will only visit Tennessee, Oregon State, & Washington Per Scout

I like our chances...... I originally like him at SS, but after watching his film I think I may like it at CB better.

Those are good programs, but I must say I like our chances with this kid.

Give me Coleman, Randolph, Martin, Loften, Lanier, and Moore, and I can't really find many weaknesses in that. Not to mention Janzen, Brewer, PWagg, Evans, Teague coming back. Should be a solid secondary.

Our linebackers lose a lot with Reveiz and Thompson, however, we still keep Austin Johnson who really was a solid contributor there, plus Herman Lathers, King, Askew, Mitchell-Thornton, Propst, Crump, Martaze Jackson, and newcomers A.J. Johnson, Christian Harris, and possibly another LB or two in Lamar Dawson or Gionni Paul. We're solid there too.

Our D-Line loses Chris Walker, but we're getting Ben Martin back, along with Marlon Walls. Plus, we'll still have Jacques Smith, Corey Miller, Malik Jackson, Willie Bohannon, Montori Hughes, Arthur Jeffery, plus newcomers Maurice Couch, Jordan Williams, Allan Carson, and Saulsberry. Plus, who knows, we may pull off 1 or more of Gabe Wright/Jeoffrey Pagan/Anthony Chickillo. It's all possible. Our D Line is not looking badly at all.

Our D is going to shape up in these next few years, and with our OL getting rebuilt, and some playmakers coming in..it's going to be a nice ride up.

This guy could only help all of that. Fantastic defensive back.
