09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

He did in fact commit to Miami on his visit...interesting

It just shows how quickly the recruiting game changes. Really glad UT nabbed him in the end tho. I really hope Janzen comes back and Moore is a starting corner. That could be a nasty defense if couch turns out as planned.

This defense has a chance to be good this year.

If not good, I at least hope they're opportunistic and force turnovers. Against teams that are good - not just Memphis and Vandy.

I'm not sold on it yet, still to many question marks. Especially on the DL & LB. Now the secondary has a chance to be SICK!!

DL looks much improved. Jacques Smith and Corey Miller will be much better this year, I think. Put Couch in the middle with Malik and make make Hughes work for playing time.

I came across Jacques Smith today chatting with an English professor about his paper. He was very low key, humble, friendly, and normal. I was glad to hear that the Prof said Jacques was on the right track with his paper and had a good introduction and thesis. Smith said he was stressed about time right now with Spring practice.

Also, he looked like a physical freak

Your counting on Sophomores that havent played every down in the SEC yet, until they do it I'm going to be worried. No doubt they have talent though, I like Jackson & Couch at DT but you cant count on Hughes anymore with the way he is & you cant count on Walls until he proves he is fully back from the injury & after that you have nothing.

The DL makes a secondary look good, without a pressure it won't matter if we have Revis and Asomugha back there.

You're right, they are a big guestion mark. But, they could be really good and that might make the difference in a so so year or an 8+ win year. IMO:crossfingers:

Maybe we (as fans) shouldn't expect it (with the team being 70% FR and So), but I can see this team overall making huge strides by the fall. I like the attitudes and business like demeanors I'm seeing in the interviews. Main thing this team will need is some leadership to step up.

Go Vols!

the great thing about having a team this young. They are all high on confidence and looking to prove themselves to everyone. They want to go out there and be the young stars of college football. Make headlines and create legends.

Wonder if a little birdie told Byron that Janzen may be having troubles thus changing his commitment.

Interesting to note that Moore says he commited to Miami after his visit but changed his mind because he couldnt quit thinking about Tennessee, he also says the staff wants him at CB but if he needs to play S he will.

I believe thedooley told us he was a Miami commit after his visit there
