09 CA S Byron Moore - UT Commit

The problem is we don't have a lot of DBs better than the freshmen coming in. Unless they improve leaps and bounds over last year(I expect Teague and Brewer to) we'll need them. Also we need more speed on STs.

We're getting some speed on special teams. His name is... oh, never mind.

Not sure 1 missed tackle makes him a bad player. It's not like JJ hasn't missed tackles also, right?

Yes JJ has missed tackles. Everyone on the team has missed a tackle. You can't make them all. But Waggner missed tons and tons of tackles. And looked foolish while doing so. Some of them weren't even close. Just wiffed in the open field. You can't have that on a football team and expect to be successful. If you can't see that Waggner is a terrible tackler than I don't know what to tell you. I know there are some others on the team who are lacking in that department as well, but Waggner is on his own level.

He made Jordan Jefferson look like Barry Sanders on the first play of the LSU game.

Haha agreed. It was just plain embarrassing. UT cannot continue to put that kind of product on the field and expect to be successful. Luckily I believe we are headed in the right direction. I always support all UT players and I am happy for Waggner's accomplishments on the field last year, but 2011 is going to be a different story. He is all we had last year so we had to roll with it. Next year we won't have that excuse. I look forward to seeing a deeper, more experienced secondary on the field in 2011.
