Class is coming together nicely and the portal will round out players who can contribute right away. I believe it is important to keep in mind what these * ratings mean. It means they have performed well to exceptionally well in HS and have potential at the college level. All of these kids are still developing and some are further along than others.

Coaching, Strength and Conditioning + individual work ethic will determine if a an athlete goes in the first round or goes undrafted. There is some raw talent that never gets developed and some less talented guys that go on to great careers.

Bottom line the * rating is nice but its what happens behind the scenes that matters on the field....

Great point!
In one high school class you have a 1 year range of ages, plus some kids are held back a year. Some parents hold a kid back to give him an advantage in sports and some kids have to repeat a year for academic reasons. Some guys reach full height by 18 and some are still growing until they're 20. In the same class two guys can have vastly different maturity levels. Coaches have to try to figure that out.

Great points. Good news is the coaches scout these recruits far more than the services do and know the fit for the program. You could argue that a poorly fitting 5* underperforms vs. a 3-4* that has the matching skill set.

I noticed in another thread about PWO's, there are three names not listed at the top of this thread. Any word on Josh Turbyville, Guthrie (Gus) Hill or Bennett Brady?

So is it as black and white that we added 37 players to our roster? Or is it not quite that simple?

Have the PWO's signed or just NIL papers? What connects them to the school? Can they change their minds and sign at another school?
