Does Chaney's hiring put us out of the running with Gonzales? If he was truly miffed by not being promoted to OC at Florida, might he come to Tennessee for a big pay raise to coach WR's, even without the OC title?

Apparently, according to VQ, the Saints have made a pretty serious play to keep Coach O in New Orleans, and that he's on the fence again.

I'm not a fan of Peterson either. Chancellor Crabtree was one of the best things that happened to the university as far as developing academics, and he ran him off.

Smith actually cancelled a trip to camp at FSU so that he could camp in Knoxville this month. That sounds like a pretty good sign for us. I have a feeling our WR's from this class are going to be sick.

I would love to have Oku, but I think that he is a luxury for this class. He's obviously a great player, but we have Giles, Toney Williams, Tauren Poole, and Creer to carry the load for the next couple of years.

Yeah, he said that he "thinks about all the schools that offer him," but he talked about Tennessee very highly. The article also mentioned that West Virginia commit Tahj Boyd had been calling to recruit him, so WVU might also be in the running too.

I am kind of worried about the youth of the team, but I'm not that worried because we're in the position where they don't have to come in and put the team on their shoulders. We already have established leaders in Tyler, JP, and Wayne. The newcomers will be able to grow into their roles next...

I think that it depends on how old someone is personally. It seems like people that have been around UT football a while tend to think that Bama is our biggest rival hands down. I think Ahmad Paige steps up and surprises some people. He certainly has a chance to be a really good WR here. As far as the most important person to step up for us is Demonte Bolden hands down. I think the front 4 play will determine how well this team does this year.

Who will start in that scenario? Tabb? I don't think there's a chance that Tabb starts over both of those two. Even though he's a great role player, he simply isn't as atheletic, and doesn't bring as much to the table as Tatum and Prince.

I think that I'm equally happy reading the meltdown on the Kentucky board as I am about actually getting Hopson to come to UT. They have one of the most delusional fan bases I've ever seen, or at least the ones that are on Catspause.

A lineup with McDonald, Hopson, Ramar, Chism, and Crews starting would be sick. That would be final 4 material right there.
