I get caught up in the 4 star and 5 star thing myself. But it is hard to argue with the results that Bama and Ohio State have every yr. But I give the guys a chance before I come to any conclusions. Look at John Kelly. A lot of 3 stars end up having big time careers in college and beyond.
I agree 100%. Cut or Harris hands down. Each coached at different times and the game was different during each ones tenure. Sanders was beloved by his players but wasn't a great play caller. Great position coach though and a good guy!
What's the deal on Bates? I'd like to know. I hardly ever hear or read anything about the kid. I watch him when he's in the game at LB, which is rare, but he seems to be around the football.
:olol: I'm not complaining. Just saying that sometimes you can find a diamond in the rough at a small school or a mid-major program. Maybe a guy like, I don't know Larry Scott, who wants to be a head coach one day and wants to prove himself. Nick Saban started out at Kent State in 1973 and began...
I get hung up on stars as bad as anyone on here, but the fact remains that it takes 4 and 5 * talent to compete with 4 and 5 * talent. Butch tries to put his "spin" on everything that is under par in his program. I like positive thinking, but let's not be devoid of reality. It's not Rocket...

:good!: We want to be elite, but wanting to and being an elite program are two different things. I love the University of Tennessee, but I realize we do not have a storied history in our program like an ALA, Notre Dame, USC, or even OcryO State. The good news is we can get there. Look at...
If he was such a great QB guru then he would have already been coaching at a power 5 school or already been an accomplished OC. North Texas and Utah State are NOT the SEC. I hate to be negative, but I'm not impressed with this. But time will tell.
