Check the tape. Against App st our defense stopped them and then Cam gambled on the punt and fumbled. A player that is confident gambles.

Them JMR got kicked out due to the targeting hit on a punt.

If flat means they didn't show emotion then yes you're right. They were trained to play with passion not emotion, blame that on Butch.

No spin, just talking about coming out flat.

They did come out strong and just never got it going.

The reporter said they got hung up on the TD that was over turned and was still talking about it 2 or 3 possessions later.

They had an issue with focus, CBJ needs to get that fixed.

I expect Rock to help with that. I'm counting on him to have a career year.

At least try to enjoy the good. There's plenty of bad to drag us down.

CBJ's success at UT is what has caused the turmoil. The fact that he's brought us back to prominence makes the average fan want more. That's good. We did tank 2 games that we shouldn't have this year. That is brought up in every other post on VN now. So we had 3 steps forward and 1 step back and we immediately want to change up the coaching staff because they don't know how to coach anymore. Somewhat of a knee jerk reaction if you ask me.

Some have decided CBJ can't get it done and want him gone.

Others think he can get it done and just needs enough time.

Others think he can't get it done but has done enough to be rewarded another year for his hard work and effort.

Others think the timing is off. Why even bring it up? It is what it is.

That's where we the regular fans are, as for those in power, who knows what they are thinking, but it's probably one of the above.

What else is there?

We all have the same info, we just come up with different conclusions.

Bamma always talks about being such a true Vol fan but yet he leads the pack of "sky is falling" posters on VN. We're not going to win next year, we're going to a crappy bowl game next year, butch is going to fail next year.....get behind them or get out of the way.

I just bring realism to idiotic threads like "Big game Butch" and all these made up excuses. I also poke fun at the next year is our year crowd. If i said we were going 16-0 next year would that make you happy? Agree or disagree, at least there is some logic behind what i believe the direction of the team is.

What you will never find is me bashing players, but you can act like im not behind the team all you want.

Oh, and i also poke fun at posters with corny catch phrases. I can give you a hug if it hurts your feelings?

Only pumpers would say that losing your all time sack leader, one your best QB's in school history, your top RB, WR, LB and DB, are the markings for winning the East next year!

Amazingly I've heard some posters say how UF is going to really fall off next year because of what they lost this year. Only in the pumpers mind would one school losing talent hurt them while it actually helps us.

With all these pieces missing, even without any significant injury, do you really think we do not take a step back ? May be some one steps up at every position but not expecting growing pains ?

Shoop will have defense improved but SC loss was not on Shoop. Vandy was partially on Shoop but partially on Offense that scored 3 points in second half. TAMU was on Shoop but his boys made critical plays to get us back in the game too. Alabama was a disaster. They played us like high school kids.
GA has all the firepower coming back with Chubb and Michel. We have new QB, RB, WRs. We barely beat them with hailmary when cards were flipped. I dont anticipate losing to Vandy but FL, GA, LSU, GTech and USC are toss ups. Alabama is a likely loss. Even if Butch does well and doesn't lose to Vandy, KY etc .. we could easily be anywhere between 9-3 to 7-5.

JRM you listed as a key loss (even though he didn't play),but he's actually coming back.

Let him do his thing, he's been down in bammerville for so long they have influenced his way of thinking in a bad way.

We all have the same info, he has his conclusions, I have mine and you have yours. It's wait and see time.

He likes to keep it "real" when predicting the future. I'm no good at predicting the future, the Vandy loss I never saw that coming and I sure don't expect it this year.

There are many posters on here that can't handle the truth, nobody knows what's going to happen. Team 121 will get it together and make some memories.

Knee jerk reaction would be if it was just two games this season. The reality is that bungles games, plays, decisions, timeouts, field goals, running his mouth with stupid phrases every single year.

It isn't going away. He does something stupid multiple times a year.

Dooley level? No. But pretty bad.
