I don't think Applewhite really wants to go to UF. He's using the talk that he might as a way to get the OC job at Texas. However, if he doesn't get the OC job or even made co-OC I could see him leaving. As of right now things are still up in the air.

I'll be surprised if he doesn't end up at UT.

I'm just saying I won't be surprised if it does happen. He was already missing Cali even with his family in Knoxville. Sure he has a great opportunity here but homesickness sometimes overrides that.
