I'll never forget it: 1994 vs. Washington State. UT wont 10-9...I think Nilo Sylvan (sp) took a weakside end-around about 70 yards to the house. I was 14, been bleeding orange ever since.
I have strange views on the situation...I was raised in TN and a Vol fan (still am), but I went to NCSU. Obviously, I don't want Cut or Chow to leave their respective OC positions. Paul Johnson would be a great addition for the Wolfpack, but I've also heard Lane Kiffin (OC for S. Cal) -- whose...
I'll never forget Cedric saving the day for us at SC in '04...Riggs wasn't having a good outing, so Cedric came in and had something like 190 yards rushing; most of that in the 2nd half. A tremendous team-player he was, and I'm glad to see him doing well in the NFL!
When we're on the road, the white of our helmet shells is a little "yellower" than the white of our jerseys/pants. I'd like to see a closer color match between the helmets and our jerseys.
I agree, GAVol. Tebow has looked pretty good in his situation, but if you were UF, who would you go with if the game is on the line? I'm not buying in to the Tebow hype because he has yet to make clutch throws to keep a drive going in a big game. Leak has. That's why he starts for a big-time...
My $0.02:
I've seen too many games in this series to rely on records, rank & statistics. This one could come down to the wire. Darby looked better than I've seen him all year vs. Ole Miss and our D-Line hasn't exactly been lights-out this season. Ole Miss ran a little bit on Bama, (FWIW, Ole...
A walk-on starting at C, and a guy with two rebuilt knees (Ligon) at gurad.
As far as D-line play went; yeah, they weren't very good -- UF was running at Harrell's damaged arm. Xavier Mitchell made Chris Leak eat some fescue a couple of times. He's good this year and will be a monster next...
I agree with you on the un-preparedness. I watched the whole AF game, and we were always one man short in the box...their QB just gave it to the unblocked guy every time. I know Chavis had to have seen this, but he didn't do anything about it the entire game.
I'm glad we won, X. Mitchell's...
This will be one area where CPF will prove whether or not he's lost his touch with coaching the O-Line. In the past, Phil has shown that he can develop a center earlier than most people expect. Here's to history repeating itself!
