What was your first game at Neyland?

My first and only game was 2001 against South Carolina. I remember it being colder than balls the whole time. However, I have been to every Orange and White game since 1996. Being poor sucks. :frown:

86 or 87 UT vs. UCLA. I don't remember much but 'just being there', I was 8 or 9. My grandfather tells me we tied, UCLA kicked a long field goal at the end....and Reveiz was still our kicker. I have been to tons since then and just this year got to take my two boys to their 'first UT game' vs. Kentucky. Thomas is 3 and Cooper is 1. Needless to say Coop didn't stay, he just saw the VolWalk and band comin down. lol. Thomas dragged me around that whole friggin stadium. lol GO BIG ORANGE!!!

That was probably the '85 game.

I'll never forget it: 1994 vs. Washington State. UT wont 10-9...I think Nilo Sylvan (sp) took a weakside end-around about 70 yards to the house. I was 14, been bleeding orange ever since.

That was HC wasn't it? Man I had a great date that day! :naughty:

people Rice was a pretty good FB team in those days. Tennessee won 23-3 with The Swamp Rat @ QB, Johnny MIlls the AA split end, Austin Denney the big tight end and etc.

thanks j, (jason is my name as well) U R prob right. like i said, I don't remember much from it, i do remember being there..... watching the "cane beating" in the sugar bowl on TV and going to the huge crowd at the orange and white game and it seems like all that happened right around the same time. Man! Talk about 3 good memories! Praise God my blood is ORANGE! WHOOOOOOO!

in 2005, me and my dad bought skybox tickets on the street to the Vandy game for 15 bucks each and sold our tickets for 15 bucks each....not a bad trade off, however the game was horrible :ermm:

I would love to run into a deal like that! But you r right, we were moving that day and had the game on a little
13" tv in the garage........i almost threw that tv in the road. fyi, stay away from the "guy in the green jacket" out in front of the bookstore early on. He is proud of his tickets and asks top dollar. you can get some good ones from 'em as the game approaches though, for pretty good $.

my first game at Neyland was 1974 against LSU...I still have my ticket stub!! I was 5 years old...

My first game at the General's house was the 2003 opener vs. Fresno St. It was Casey Clausen's senior year, and we were coming off a dissapointing 2002 year. I sat right above the student section and I remember it was HOT HOT HOT on that side of the stadium. In the end we beat them pretty handly by a score of 24-6. There only touchdown was off a Casey Clausen interception. What a GREAT day for me!!!

That game was the HOTTEST I have ever been to at Neyland.

It may have been in 1973 or 1974-not exactly sure, but know that we played the Terps and won a close one.
