This game puts the lie to the narrative of how much better the team played at the end of the season. Our schedule is always front loaded, and as a result we miraculously always play “better” in the second half of the season. Nobody seems to recognize it’s usually against crappy teams.

I disagree. Not smiling comes naturally to him. I actually look for the vols to cover the spread, since Bama will treat this like a scrimmage (and make it a priority to log the win without getting anyone hurt). We will probably be going up against their backups in the 3rd quarter (which sadly...
