I voted Georgia Tech because they are the only program on that list that is on the same level as UT. We might be able to sneak out a win. That won't happen though because of their yearly OOC SEC game with UGA.
No new HC would keep anyone on his staff who knifed the last HC he worked for in the back in hope of being his replacement (Gus at Auburn). Pay whatever it takes and get rid of him. CJH shouldn't and wouldn't trust him.
One common denominator that everyone seems to be missing in the Smart/Pruitt "mishandling the QB" issue is the OC--
Jim Chaney. It was Chaney's job as QB coach/OC to develop Fields and get him meaningful game reps. That never happened. Chaney left UGA for UT after Fields entered the transfer...
By the time Eason was healthy Fromm, the freshman, had won 4 games including at Notre Dame. It was Fromm's team. Eason never would have gotten UGA to the playoff. You must have seen how inconsistent he was U of Washington his senior year.
What are you talking about? We would love to be where Arkansas is now: A stable coaching staff, an excellent HC people respect and players love, Two excellent coordinators, a compentent group of assistants, and a HC who gets out of the way and lets them coach. We could only hope right now...
If there is an ethical issue in all this it seems to me that it lies with the AD and the athletic department. These are tough times financially for the department and the University. They also have mutually agreed contracts with coaches and others in the dept. Now they are in a bind and want...
Bailey is not a Chaney guy. When Chaney was at UGA he did not recruit Bailey and when he left to come to UT he inherited his commitment. Generally Chaney is a one QB OC. He sees the QB he wants to run his offense and he spends his time prepping him. Look at his time at UGA. He had 5 star...
