Michigan sites seem to believe he stares down receivers and throws it to the other team. Hope it’s just sour grapes. Got curious and looked after the announcement today

That may have been the case last season but it’s a new system and he’s got a clean slate.
Yes because every year there's a new story of a QB going from having no fundamentals and a wretched completion percentage his sophomore year to being amazing in all said categories the very next year.

There was...oh, wait, I can't think of a single one.

But I can remember one recent instance of a coach picking the wrong QB and a large percentage of the fans of that team accepting it as gospel just because it was the coach's decision.

Did you watch Michigan against Michigan St.? I sure hope he does better in Heupel's system because it could get scary this year if he has not improved. I had high hopes for him until I saw that performance.

Something has to be a deciding factor... maybe it's Milton's physical and mental attributes, or maybe he's simply the alpha dog in a room full of competent QBs.

I think he got the job because he's a natural born leader. I think his poor performance at Michigan was a combination of missing Spring practice, playing through an injury, and playing in an offense that isn't QB friendly.

People are quick to point out Milton's 56% completion percentage at Michigan, but they forget that Shea Patterson also had a 56% completion percentage at Michigan in his 2nd year. Patterson was the most recruited QB in the country when he came out of HS, then he threw for over 2,000 yards and 17 TDs in the SEC as a true freshman in 7 GAMES. Why wasn't he great at Michigan? Most likely it's the same reason Milton wasn't.

It wouldn't surprise me if Milton becomes one of the best QBs in the league.

When you have Heupel’s track record, it’s pretty easy to buy.

This is incorrect. Heupel explicitly said that Milton is the starter…nothing more. This is EXACTLY why coaches are hesitant to even release information. Fifty percent of Volnation must be on Opioids..

After the pain we’ve endured the past 15 years it should be closer to 100%.

There were multiple practice reports where it was said he was the best of the day in terms of accuracy. So we will see what it looks like when bullets are flying

This is moronically dumb. Ainge's fundamentals were so terrible that he broke Manning's record for most TD passes at this school by a freshman and beat UGA on the road when said school was ranked in the top ten in the country. He had a bad sophomore year because his bozo HC played Rick Clausen half the time instead when Stevie Wonder could see that Ainge was the better QB (and there was already ample evidence, which made the decision that much more damning). Ainge never at any point had bad fundamentals - no one, for example, ever accused him of staring down a receiver, or having a bad release. Throwing 7 passes and 3 completions your freshman year is as different from throwing 17 TDs and beating UGA on the road as Bama's current coach, who as multiple UGA and Bama fans have recently pointed out on the SDS site would be playing Bailey right now if he had our QBs, is from ours.

He did that at times. He also threw some passes that only a handful of guys in all of football can throw. If Dr Jeckyll shows up then we're in for a great ride. If Dr Hyde shows up... this will be a really short lived experiment.

Just watched the first 13 passes against MSU. He went 10/13 for 108 and there was a bad drop in there. Looked really good to me.

Don’t have time to watch all 50+ passes but the talent is there. And I think he has better QB guys around him coaching and competing with him.

But do you think Heupel doesn't have a QB2?
I'd wager he does and the QBs know he does. I'll be somewhat disappointed if Heupel "dances around" questions too long to avoid a transfer....... but maybe I should get used it with the portal. I dislike OR on the depth chart. You get paid millions, make a decision. I understand situational subs exist for a number of positions but if QB1 goes down...... who is your QB2? You know that, you get paid millions to know that. If you don't want to say, have the testicles to say, "I'm not going to tell you but I have a QB2."

I dislike a coach who isn't strong enough to say.... "Ah, a gotcha question" like Golesh did. That answer shut that crap up real quick.

Do you even enjoy UT football? It seems like you don’t enjoy it.

Official depth chart says Bailey is QB 2.
