If this kid goes to kentucky he'll be a flop. To be successful he needs to play in a 3-4. He'd be dumb to go to kentucky.

Odd. Vince Wilfork played in a 4-3 at Miami, Kris Jenkins played in a 4-3 at Carolina, Ted Washington and another 340+ Dt I can't think of played in a 4-3 in Chicago. Sam Adams and Tony Siraguso played inside in Baltimore's 4-3.

Scheme is overrated, and if this kid is as good as they claim he will be fine. If he's not, he will be a bust.

Scheme fit matters a lot, just ask a few coaches. Some players are the exception to the rule because they can move a lot better than the average 340+ pounder. Terrance Cody is a perfect example of a kid that wouldn't fit a 4-3 but was a perfect fit for a 3-4. 3 star kid that look like a 5 star at Bama because he was put in a position that was perfect for his skillset.

After watching Elam's film I think he will be fine though because he is quicker off the ball than I thought. He plays too high right now but that will change with good coaching.

Better than Bama IMO. I think it's a moot point though cause dude is over-rated and will most likely be a bust.

I agree. This kid needs to lose a ****load of weight to contribute. He's fat as hell. I really don't know what 247 sees in him.
