Preemptive Grammys Gay Marriage Thread

Almost every thing in life is debatable, but the Constitution errs on the side of equality, so I'm fairly certain it will eventually enforce the rights of gay marriage.

I'm not saying it won't be interpreted to support marriage equality, but there is strong debate that the constitution does actually allow for state and city governments to get involved in religion and vice versa. Separation of church and state doesn't actually appear in the constitution. It does say "congress shall make no law...." but it doesn't say anything about individual states. Rulings separating church and state are big stretches of the actual language of the constitution.

What you think and what the United States Constitution says are two entirely separate things. The Constitution wins out as the law of the land. The Constitution will ultimately be shown to be on the side of gay marriage, just as it was on the same side of the equality of the races and the equality of the sexes. You cannot afford rights to some and not afford them to all. That is unconstitutional.

Who's to say its a right? Why can't it be a privilege? The problem with equality & the minority is they only want it to apply when it's convenient.

Crock of shat.

One, diagreeing with a lifestyle does not equal hate.

Two, everyone is intolerant of something.

The gay mafia has done well as your post proves.

That depends on how much of a small minded ignorant lib/commie you are actually.

Nobody is telling anybody how to live their lives. If you wanna be gay be gay. But why should society have to be overhauled to tend to their feelings of "equality".

Because we live in a republic that is governed by laws that protect the rights of minority's from being trampled by the majority.

That you would so readily dismiss a basic tenant of what makes America so great is both shocking and sad.

Why are there locks on the doors at the 7/11 down the street when it's open 24 hours a day?

Oh sorry, were we just asking irrelevant rhetorical questions here?

Not sure if this is ignorant or ironic or both. We live in a land where the minorities are getting more rights than the majority ever had. Affirmative action, Rooney rules, race baiting organizations, & much more. Everything is not a right. That is a fact. Changing laws & rules & overhauling society is doing nothing but trampling on the majority's RIGHTS. That is a fact but obviously that is ok.

Gotta lock up the store after one of those hardworking socioeconomically disenfranchised America flash mobs attacks, or the 7/11 clerk is robbed/shot/stabbed/murdered by some hardworking socioeconomically disenfranchised American's just trying to feed their families yo.

Inserting strawmen to bolster your argument is pretty comical. Race baiting organizations? wtflulz.

The right you have to swing your fist, ends at my nose. Using your convoluted logic, my nose infringed on your right to punch it.

Rights stop when they infringe upon rights of others. This is super simple stuff. You're advocating real people, being denied real things because of your inability to reconcile their lifestyle in your own little noggin. Frankly, I'm not sure you quite understand the word "equal" or even have a fundamental understanding of what a Republic is.

:clapping:

This is the last bastion of a failed argument.

Isn't it time to put on your name tag and get to work?

Why is it okay to make fun of those who actually have jobs? Not everybody is going to be a professional.

I have a lot more respect for those who have jobs doing what they can to provide for themselves than for those who are just looking for free stuff.
