Funny, earlier in the week, posters lambasted me for suggesting we had something to worry about with Auburn. Now it seems many others are starting to see the same. For me, it all started with the late season official to Auburn. When I said that was concerning, "I was reading too much into it."

I want this young man at UT, but won't feel safe with his committment until he signs his loi.

Nothing on Auburn boards. I'm not surprised about lack of news because Gus and staff are not nearly as talkative with recruiting sites as Trooper and other Chizik staff were.

IMO Auburn 247 often goes with speculation and innuendo as its sources.

The reason their is no news is because he is going to stay with TN. Auburn may have it rolling at the moment but it is smoke and mirrors, not taking anything away from the coaching job. But the players they won with where the players they recruited before they left. Lambert has to see that, and I like the fact that Butch gets the last word. No dought this is not Dooley here this man can recruit. At least to this point it looks that way. Go vols.

Not really Keith Niebuhr who started all of rumors about him flipping on 247 said before visit yesterday that lambert is telling everyone including those at his school that he is going to TN. Their auburn source still feels good about flipping him though. Then kipp Adams texted with Lambert after visit and only said " went well"

Sounds like 247 still pumping garbage. Niebuhr admitted it tough to come by info right now for auburn stuff.

To given perspective of 247 lately. They are all screaming how bobby button from their 247 site was all over this Mack brown story and that people should listen to their guys. Burton like all 247 guys plays around the fence on social media never making a real prediction until its obvious. However he was on his board and site saying Mack is 100 percent gone and that its Saban or Jim harbaugh. How the f that is being all over a story is beyond me

Okay, let's concede the "they're winning with their own players because of previous recruitment" arguement. How does that change that they're playing for a NC with those players? Even if it is with players they recruited before they left, it's a freakin' NC. So what is Lambert supposed to see? That the Auburn coaches can take players they recruited and take them to a NC game? How is that a negative for them? I just don't see how you can spin winning and playing for a NC as a bad thing. It's an arguement with no legs. Our hope is that Lambert just feels more comfortable with UT's coaching staff. That's where we win, if we win. We certainly don't have success to sell right now. We can hope playing time is a huge factor, but lots of playing time on a bad team isn't always as productive as less playing time on a good team.

Bottom line, we need to get back to winning. Winning is the panacea this team needs. It'll bring a better atmosphere to the program and the fanbase and give some momentum for Butch to work with. And I'm just tired of effing losing.
