Even More Obamacare Follies

Come on, anyone who thinks the GOP is going to suddenly don the hat of working together to improve the ACA is absolutely dreaming.

why is their involvement even an issue except to take attention away from the current failures? This is the law the Dems wanted and this is what the American people get by putting them in office. They own this and any whining about help from the Repubs who opposed it the entire way is ridiculous. The ACA is not the problem if the GOP and any attempt to saddle them with it should be laughed at

Tried to log on again just to see if things were different from last month when I tried previously. Here is what I got:

Come on, anyone who thinks the GOP is going to suddenly don the hat of working together to improve the ACA is absolutely dreaming. If anything, they will continue to trip over another one in the race to make the most extreme comments about it.

The rhetoric is going to get worse. Far worse. Not better.

Why is it all of a sudden up to the GOP to fix Obama and the Dems "signature" piece of legislation? Why doesn't the laws most ardent supporters come up with fixes?

Saddle them with it? How about just get them to come up with some ideas that improve upon it and prevent it from having all the harmful effects claimed?

Not going to happen. Being able to stand there and take pot shots at it and Obama, instead of actually governing, is all they have been about for the last five years, and all they will be about for the next three.

The website appears to now be functional with 1 million visitors reported visited the site Monday.

Obama says the ACA will not be repealed as long as he is president but he is willing to work with both sides to make it a better law.

The GOP needs to focus on making this a better law instead of repeal. Anyone with an IQ over 80 has known with a Dem Senate and the ACA being the POTUS signature legislation, no way this law is going to be repealed. It cannot be made perfect but it CAN be made better. Our congress needs to legislate, if they haven't forgot how to.

Anyone willing to buy this I have some property to sell you.

Its up to both, but to get anything done both have to be willing to work on it. Obama says he welcomes any ideas on it at this point. He's hat in hand.

And the GOP is in a great position to pass some ideas they might have in ordert to make this run better. But they'd rather sacrifice the well being of the country, and indeed of all those people they say are being harmed by this, than do anything that might cause things to get better. Its been the same with the economy. They'd rather it tank than create a situation in which someone else can take any credit for anything.

that makes absolutely no sense

why does the GOP need to work to improve the Dems and Obama's signature piece of legislation? We were assured time and time again that this would absolutely make life better and easier for all Americans. Was that simply a lie?

The Dems got exactly what they wanted with this bill and should own it. If you wanted a GOP solution maybe you should have thought a little harder before voting

But they'd rather sacrifice the well being of the country, and indeed of all those people they say are being harmed by this, than do anything that might cause things to get better.

the Dems already did that when they forced the ACA on the American people. The irony of now begging the GOP to come fix it is awesome though

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH ha

His ego will never let him allow his signature program to be changed or fail. Neither will the party allow anything GOP related into the ACA with 2014 elections just around the corner.

He's a liar. He wouldn't listen before so why should he take any advice now ? Didn't he say the gop could come along for the ride they just have to ride in the back of the bus. Your party is going to pay a heavy price for this pos law...starting in nov 2014 .

Obama and his minions rammed this POS legislation through without accepting any GOP ideas or suggestions, it was their way or the highway. Why should the GOP get involved, why shouldn't they sit back and say "we told you so"? Obama sure hasn't tried to (as Gramps would say) "work across the isle"!

No the only fix to this is to scrap the entire bill and start over. This is a 100% Dem problem and they need to live with it.

Since when were legislators charged with the task of governing? Their job is to create laws and vote on them. Their job is to be politicians. That's exactly what they are doing.

Its not about getting them involved to "fix" the problems, as deep and widespread as they are.

Its about getting them attached to the bill so the eventual fail can be distributed.

This is like a smart azz kid out past curfew and getting busted then asking dad to bail him out.

It's more akin to my neighborhood business competitor making an abrupt change in their business model which alienates a wide section of their customer base and asking me to fix it.

 yep. Our community organizer is just way over his head & finally shows some panic in asking for help & then turns around in his arrogance & says screw y'alls ideas because we are making this work come hell or high water as long as I'm king.

New Obamacare Headache: Is Your Enrollment Real? - ABC News

Bob Shlora of Alpharetta, Ga., was supposed to be a belated Obamacare success story. After weeks of trying, the 61-year-old told ABC News he fully enrolled in a new health insurance plan through the federal marketplace over the weekend, and received a Humana policy ID number to prove it.

But two days later, his insurer has no record of the transaction, Shlora said, even though his account on the government website indicates that he has a plan.
Obama administration officials acknowledged today that some of the roughly 126,000 Americans who completed the torturous online enrollment process in October and November might not be officially signed up with their selected issuer, even if the website has told them they are.
Short-term fix eyed for another problem with U.S. healthcare website | Reuters
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has not yet finished building the part of the website that would transfer billions of dollars in subsidies for plan premiums and cost-sharing payments to insurance companies.

It is part of a long technical to-do list that has so far focused on fixing the errors and lag times in the part of the website used by consumers.

I was going with the brat kid throwing a temper tantrum after he screwed up by not listening.

I equate Obama to a brat.
