TIFWIW an employee of mine who's grandson is on the SC team told me Josh's mom wants him to stay in state at UT. Says he is a momma's boy and will do what she wants.
I'm finding that Clemson board slightly infuriating. They are talking about how we are a trashy program who are likely paying Malone off... First off they think his cousin is a handler and that's complete garbage. Second off they keep talking about how we are a bottomfeeder SEC dumpster fire. And how we haven't been relevant in 15 years, but my question is when where they last relevant? Have they ever won the ACC/ national championship more than 1 time in the last 20 years and the answer is a big no. They've won 1 national championship ever. we've won 6. They've been ACC champions only once in the last 20 years... They need to get over themselves. Yes we are down, but we are 10 times the program they are
Maybe it's just me, but that doesn't sound all that good IMO. Hopeful and 50/50? If that is the feeling the staff has going into today then I'm not sure it's going to end well. Still cant believe he would choose Clemson of all places. Just crazy to me.
Am I the only one here who feels like this Clemson thing is nothing more than Malone wanting there to be some speculation leading to his announcement tomorrow?
I think that's a real possibility. I know most people in the know keep saying he hasn't decided and it's coming down to the wire. But UT has been the constant in this entire thing. First it was, "UGA is the leader now, he's going to be a Dawg.", then it was, "FSU really wow'd him, he fell in love with FSU and looks to be a Nole.", then it was, "Clemson really jumped ahead of everyone, he wants to play with Watson and distance is no longer a factor."
Maybe it's all true and he really has had a handful of leaders over the last month or two. Or maybe he's been a UT lock for awhile now and didn't want to let the cat out of the bag? Neither would surprise me.
Surely we wouldn't expect ZA to tell a random fan on a plane we have Malone in the bag would we???
If he said its 50/50 that's exactly what he should say regardless of where this stands

Recruits you have to bribe or play in the grey areas for never turn out being worth it. You can't have a character kid that you have to bribe to get in your program. I'd think the Kiffin experiment would have taught us something about dirty recruiting not being successful in the long run.
Butch is doing things the right way. Let the haters hate.
Assuming we win out on this one, it's actually a good thing for this to be a "surprise" as it creates more media attention for not only the recruit but for the program as well. I see no issue in the kid getting the most out of his moment; I would however hope to heck he doesn't do the hat thing. It just seems cheap and most of his recruitment has been handled so maturely for a high school player.I think that's a real possibility. We obviously try and make formulated opinions on what is going to happen but we try and stick with giving you guys the information that we have. To me, that's more important than a prediction because at the end of the day these guys are just 17 or 18 year olds and can change their mind at a moment's notice.
Concerning Josh, I think he picks Tennessee tomorrow, but I certainly don't know that to be true. Tennessee has had good momentum since their in-home visit with him on Friday night.
I know neither staff knew what he was going to do when they left his house last night and I was told this morning that Clemson made a very compelling argument during their visit with him last night. I still don't that Josh has fully made up his mind yet so I don't think this one is over yet.
As we always try and do, we will try and keep you all updated with everything.
You must not visit the FF much.that's quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever read
