i was just glad the D line stayed at the ball........the O line was standing on the other side of the feild like "uh oh".Stupid stuff Meyer tries to pull off drives me nuts.
This is the SEC not the MAC or the WAC.
I am Urban Meyer, I invented football!
:furious3:

priceless........and i couldn't figure out why they, FL, wouldn't call a time out in that situation, given out the defense llined up.....oh well. if it's bad for FL, it's good for me, so i'm ok with it.
Yes. I think I've said that about ten times in the last two hours.
But that doesn't mean you will, and it doesn't mean that if you do you are better than Florida, and it also doesn't mean that if you do then you have a prayer against LSU.
Well, you would have a prayer.
Face it, when UT played UF, they just had a bad day. If they played UF now, UT's offense would roll over the outmanned UF defense that got a lucky breaks that day. UT is much better than UF right now and will win the SEC east without a lot of trouble. UF---a minor bowl is on the horizon--Atlanta will be great on new year's eve---watch out for the muggers, however.
Let's go by your reasoning, UF beat UT so UT has no chance to beat LSU.
Well then this is true USF is the best team in Florida right now..

and yet they are still in second place. Its not a simple question of who beat who. Its a question of how well the teams played, the very evident gap in speed and athleticisim, and the fact that everyone who watched UT-Fla. came away not just thinking that UT was not well prepared, but that in fact no amount of preparation would have changed the winner because UT did not have the horses.
Please understand. I am not saying that because of that game all UT grads are mouth-breathing mentally challenged rednecks. I am not saying that because of that game the State of Tennessee is "second" to the State of Florida. I am not saying that the situation will always be the way it is right now. What I am saying is that right now Florida just plain has much better football players.
Why do people not want to acknowledge that? Its not a moral judgment. Its an assessment of players' abilities. Goes on all the time.
Tebow real deal? Well, its depends on your definition of real deal. He is very, very tough. A great competitor. Strong runner. Has strong arm. At this point, I do not think he is going to be a great QB outside of the UF system. He basically just throws bombs to open WR's. Watching his "passing game" and Ainge's "passing game" are like night and day.
I do agree that Florida was the better team, but after the fumble return, Tennessee quit, and Florida didn't. That is why it looks so bad. If it hadn't been for that one back-breaking play, I believe that the game would have went down to the wire as it normally does. Florida isn't that much better, I don't care what the scoreboard says.

but this argument undermines your point about how closely you played the Tigers this past weekend. LSU was clearly the more talented of the teams (as was the case last year as well, but you still won a NC). The scoreboard actually helps your squad look better in this case, but the talent differential was significant. In fact, Harvin was nearly absent because his speed was matched and people have had some time to prepare for the fluky offense. Its not a simple question of who beat who.
