I love it. If you had no idea of the results from this past Saturday, you could tell just by reading this thread that Florida is looking up at Tennessee in the SEC East standings.

And in that sense I have a 50-50 shot at winning the lottery because I either will or I won't.

Come on guys, you beat a mediocre UGA team at home with Fulmer's job totally on the line. Its a great win and puts you in control of your own fate, but let's not get carried away and treat it like a switch has suddenly been turned on and UT is BCS-bound. It doesn't work that way and you know it.

UT has a better chance of being BCS bound than UF does right now.

Your condescending remarks are annoying. Thinking Tebow would be the 1st QB taken in the draft shows your bias.

You are right I do need to congratulate UT for their victory over UGA. I was particularly impressed with the RB making the TD pass. You totally caught them flat-footed on that one and it was nice to see some imaginative play-calling.

You think UT would have a 50-50 shot in a game against LSU? We are not watching the same games, then, my friend.
IF Tennessee continues to play as well they did SATURDAY there's no doubt in my mind my PAL.Teams do improve you know.

Lawgator, if you think that UF/UT score is an accurate reflection UF vs. UT then that would fit right in with your opinion that Tebow would be the first QB taken in this year draft...ridiculous. I don't know that UT would beat UF if they played again this year. But, it would be a close game. For 3 quarters the UF/UT game was very close. We were down one score and had the ball. That 4th quarter was crazy. Is UT better than UF? Dont think so. But, the score is in no way an accurate reflection of the difference between UF and UT.

I think we have a good shot at winning the SECE, with USC being the major obstacle. But, Lawgator, the only thing you have said in this thread that I agree with is that I do not like our chances versus LSU. If we were to get there, it is certainly possible we could win. Shoot, Stanford can beat Southern Cal. But, we would have to play amazing to beat LSU.

i think everyone has tempered their reaction with reasonable amount of enthusiasim. and we should be enthusiastic, because as of today, our position in the SEC is 1 game better than yours.:)

I guess I'm back to the minority. I still see no way we win the SECE

may need to rephrase.....the way you stated this, it looks as if you can't figure it out vs. thinking we will lose another game and FL will win out.

i see more losses in UT's future. One game didn't make me do a 180. Watching Florida play LSU, I realize that they are very good football team. A very very good football team. Maybe SC wins the SECE. Maybe UK does. Maybe Florida does. I just see UT struggling to get there.

The season is a marathon, not a sprint. You have to step back and take an honest and unbiased look at the season so far to try to figure out where you stand and where you will end up.

UT has been beaten solidly by a good PAC-10 team and completely demolished by the Gators. Don't give me any of that "but we were in it score-wise until the third quarter" nonsense because while I agree that the final score was more lopsided than the game actually was, Florida dominated UT in every facet of the game. Possible that UT would make it closer a second time around? I'd say actually that you probably would. But you'd only win maybe one out of every six or seven just because you do not have the players to compete.

Florida, on the other hand, lost to an Auburn team that is apparently a little bit better than people gave them credit for after they lost to USF (now the #5 team in the country) and the Gators went on the road to LSU and played them to within an inch of their BCS lives.

Any unbiased observer would still believe that Florida this year is simply much, much better than UT.

I'm actually in the same boat as you, for the most part. After this past weekend, there actually is a way for the Vols to make it to Atlanta now.

Whether they can put a few more good games together (I don't even think they have to play as well as they did against Georgia to win out) remains to be seen.

If you put a gun to my head right now and told me I had to pick a favorite from the East, I'd probably have to go with South Carolina.

1 out of 6 or 7? Dont have the players? I think we have the players to make it more than a 1:7 ratio. Especially since some of our young players are getting experience and it is showing. I think we will continue to surprise you with our improvement. I think UT could win 1:4 at this point and probably 1:3 by the end of the season.

and Florida has much, much better 2 losses in the SEC this year....so we simply have a much, much better chance of going to the SECCG!! and our QB has never kissed another man nor cried on TV!! :)

well it's a good thing cause i was about to........well, i don't know, but it was going to be horrible....for you......but now not so much.:eek:lol:

i don't think anyone can say TN is better than FL. the only thing you can say is TN is in 1st, FL is in 2nd.:p

You say Tebow might be the 1st QB taken in this year's NFL draft and then imply that I am not "sane." Yeah, ok...

there it is.... making fun a man for giving all his heart to a game and being brought to tears. I could only dream we still had players that dedicated. especially as a sophomore

it's not a stretch, if you're a FL fan, to think TN is going to lose one more time. it's also not a stretch if you're a FL fan to think you can beat SC.

FL is not out of it. but they are in the unenviable position of hope and see what happens.

and i for one am ok with that.
