Agreed. If the last 30 years have taught us anything, they've taught us that.
FWIW, Rucker just stated on the Zone that he doesn't see anyone surplanting Worley by the beginning of the season. He did go on to say that CBJ did make a change his last year at Cincy when they had a 6-2 season going which surprised some people.
Worley will start game 1. It's almost a guarantee.
The No. 2 (whoever it will be) will also play. Mostly second half.
Butch will probably then make a decision.
My guess is that by the Oregon game, Ferguson is the starting QB.
Wait, so Peterman's stellar performance against our 2nd string defense in the open practice didn't bump him ahead of Ferguson?

Interesting point about Peterson and the 2nd string D. There is a grand canyon size drop off between the 1and 2 defense. I see a lot of people don't realize that. I also think it would be insane to start Riley at Oregon.
Edit: I see SBV put he would start by the Oregon game....my bad
Lets pretend this is the scenario. Wouldn't you start Ferguson the first two games to gradually work up to Oregon instead of starting a true freshman on the road in his first game?
The various media groups have gone out of their way to promote the QB of their choice. There is no QB controversy. Butch os being very tight lipped about who will be his starters at several positions. There is still almost a week of camp left before they begin game preparations for the opener. Even then, it is likely that the competition at certain positions continue on.

But tomorrow well come back, well have a full-padded practice then we go into the grind. Well have a couple days off to get their legs back. School starts, then were basically in game-week preparation for Austin Peay. So tomorrows practice is critical. Again, today I thought we gained some valuable special teams work.
