It's a great rating and for some reason I have a feeling there won't be many busts. Best I can tell, they all seem like high quality hard working kids. I haven't gotten a sense there are any me-first egos, etc.

This class will lead us back to glory.

You have to take Ainge with a grain of salt...he is a little bit of a drama queen...which I would think you need to be to make a name for yourself in radio. Finebaum and Clay Travis have proven that.

Yeah I've kinda picked that up over time. I loved him a lot when I first listened, cause him and Jay Bay are homers, made fun of Vanderbilt and actually talked a lot about football. But his ego kinda grinds on me after a while. No radio station is perfect, but at least everybody there loves Tennessee. That's what keeps me coming back. And also keeps me from ever paying attention to things that Rucker says.

But back to my point... has anybody heard this negative stuff about Devrin anywhere else besides on Ainge's show?

I've not hurd it. I have learned that just because Ainge played for the Vols doesn't mean he's not full of s***. Because IMO he is.

Didn't Jones compliment Devrin a few weeks ago on his work ethic and attitude? Could be thinking of someone else.

Ainge knows a lot of stuff... A lot more than me. With that being said, I have met Devrin through some others when he was in high school. Seemed to be a nice kid. I think he may be reaching for radi time personally in this situation

I'm not 100% sure, but yeah I thought I had heard people talking about how good of a leader he has tried to be. Who knows. But I doubt he's that bad. Ainge talks about him like people were talking about Janzen or Da'Rick. Doesn't add up to me. Those guys had obvious red flags that showed up the minute they stepped on campus.

Yeah you're right. Maybe I'm making too much of it. It's just weird, cause it's like the 3rd time I've heard him say it.

That being said, I think Devrin is gonna be nasty when we get him in the ball in the open field.

Got a good friend that's a Cane fan and he has pretty high hopes they'll beat uf and possibly make a run(we'd win 8+ with their schedule). That game is a 12:00 kickoff and uf's first road game vs an instate rival that has likely been focusing on that game the past 8 months. I could definitely see Miami pulling off the upset. That's gonna be a huge game for them. If uf does lose, I wouldn't think that'd be a good thing for us since we play them next. Plus uf has a bye before us.

No matter how bad UF plays against Miami , they will play like national champ contenders against us

Vanderbilt last sold out of season tickets in 1996 when Notre Dame was on the schedule and Irish fans were forced to buy seats to every game to see their team in Nashville. Vanderbilt’s high-water mark in recent years was 19,000-plus in 2008.


Lol that's pitiful. Didn't we just have 39,000+ for a practice. We're talking about practice(Allen Iverson voice).

With the recent incident there(that could still get uglier), problems selling out a high school stadium after two of their best years in a looooong time, and the fact that Butch is clearly kicking his azz in recruiting and going to kick his azz at Neyland this November I'd bet he's gone as soon as he gets a chance after this year. He may not even have a chance if it turns out he was somehow involved in trying to cover up the recent incident. You never know. JMO but I personally wouldn't be surprised if he actually did know about the incident and didn't report it to the authorities. Like I said, that's JMO, dude is a POS.
