HBO's "Game of Thrones"

This "Rains of Castamere" song confuses me. I just recently realized its a song honoring the Lannisters, so why were the Brotherhood Without Banners singing it in their very first scene? I had originally thought it was a song they made up but I guess not. They hate the Lannisters and Lord Frey as far as I know also has no love for the Lannisters, why were they playing it at the Red Wedding too?

Confusing.

Also, is this song going to have more significance in the future?

It is a song about the Lannisters but is just a common folk tune in Westeros. You may be exposed to some more significance next episode. I don't know how far to go before I'm spoiling things.

I believe its a song about revenge - it happens to be based on revenge that the Lannisters took out on another family for challenging them.

...would be the perfect way to end the season though.

Now you should know why that song was used.

Was a good finale but it ended kind of lame. I was hoping to see one more crazy mind blowing thing and instead we just got more of what we already knew with Daenerys

Lot of great character moments tonight. Thought they were going to end with a certain shocking scene. Well, we get to look forward to that next season.

Tyrion is slowly rising from that epic fall last season; loved the council meeting scene where he continued to do what he does best: verbally pimp slap Joffrey =)

Given the reaction to last week's show I can see what they were going for tonight - set up the next season. Here's what they left us with:

1. Asha going to rescue Theon
2. Stannis with a reason to go north
3. Danerys with an ever expanding army
4. Jaimy and Cersei reunited
5. Arya and The Hound tied together with no particular goal in mind
6. Bran beyond the Wall
7. Jon back at the Wall with impending invasion
8. Tyrion caught between his father and Sansa

I'm sure I'm missing something. In all, they set off these story lines and many have "hope" - particularly important given how many people lost their minds last week :)

they changed the part where the red woman comes to meet with the brotherhood and takes roberts bastard son.in the book she never comes south.i won't put any more because i don't know what they're going to do next.

ok,since they are past the the red wedding.i can tell who they meet instead of the red woman.they meet with a little woman witch, who I think is one of the children of the forest.
