HBO's "Game of Thrones"

So I just Binge watched this whole show in about a week. and I want more. If I'm going to pick these novels up, where does the show end that I should start? Or, does it skip so much I should just read all the novels?

It takes balls to kill off main characters like Martin does. I don't like the fact that most of my favorites are gone, but we still have Arya and the Khaleesi (my two favorite women even from the beginning) and Tyrion (my favorite male). I've even grown to respect Jamie a bit, outside of the sister ****ing of course. I just hope we get to see the bad guys actually lose at SOMETHING, because so far even when they've lost they won in the end. I just have a sad feeling Tyrion is going to die somehow before all the others since he's the only bro tier Lannister.

Read the whole series!

Agreed because just knowing what the show offers will leave you in the dark on a lot of the sub plots in the book. I binge watched the first season about a month before season 2 started and had to immediately go buy the books. Glad i did.

GAME OF THRONES COMIC CON PANEL!

nice post - I like the awkward moment toward the end when one of the female fans nearly asks Emilia Clarke out on a date

I hate whenever they recast people in shows for any reason. Especially if you like or get used to them. As a man who never read the books (but will) seeing the guy who played Daario didn't bother me one bit.

recasting Andy Whitfield was tragically unavoidable. I agree with the Naevia recast - horrible.

I really tried to get into the new Sparticus - but just couldn't.

I said from day one they would have been much better off just killing Naevia off and letting Crixus be an uncontrollable rampant beast for the remainder of the series as a result.

‘Game Of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke Set For ‘Terminator’ In Sarah Connor Role
EXCLUSIVE: It’s official. Emilia Clarke will play Sarah Connor in the Terminator reboot, re-teaming with director Alan Taylor, who has worked with Clarke in the HBO series Game Of Thrones. Clarke joins Jason Clarke, who is in negotiations to play her son John Connor in a storyline I’ve heard involved a trip into the future. Deadline revealed that he was in talks earlier this week. Arnold Schwarzenegger is also back in his signature cyborg role.

Emilia Clarke Terminator Sarah ConnorThis was a hotly contested role and it came down to Clarke and Brie Larson. Both actresses tested for the producers at David Ellison’s Skydance and Megan Ellison’s Annapurna, and Paramount, which will release the film in July 2015. Clarke’s breakout role came in Thrones, where she plays the dragon-commanding heroine Daenerys Targaryen in that massive HBO series, and is probably the most sympathetic of all vying to rule. She started as a shy sister of an annoying king brother, but has demonstrated the mettle to capably play one of the screen’s most formidable heroines as originated by Linda Hamilton in James Cameron’s first two films in the series. She’s repped by CAA and Emptage Hallett in the UK.
