There is one concern with Arkansas. First-year head coach Bret Bielema, who left Wisconsin for Arkansas following last season, is known for running the football first and often.
"Yeah, a little bit," Malone said when asked if that was worrisome. "But they're probably going to have to make Coach Chaney stop throwing it because that's all they did at Tennessee last year. But it does worry me just watching Wisconsin last year with the power run offense."
Malone visited Notre Dame last weekend. When asked what stood out about the school, he said, "The academic value and the vertical offense that they run."
There have been rumors that Malone was leaning towards committing to Tennessee, especially since the Volunteers have been hot on the recruiting trail lately. Those close to Malone have said that's not the case. While Tennessee is certainly in play, it appears Malone will continue to take a methodical approach to his recruitment.
