Explosion in Boston?

Some of you are assuming A LOT trying desperately to pin something to the wife.

It's possible that she knew. It's just as possible that she didn't know. It's possible that she knew about the questioning. It's possible that she didn't know about the questioning.

They lived with his mother and the first thing his mother talked about after the shooting was the FBI investigation into the family about her sons suspected terrorist ties. His mother went on to say "They(FBI) used to come [to our] home, they used to talk to me ... they were telling me that he was really an extremist leader and that they were afraid of him."

And? How does this suggest in any way that the wife knew her husband was making IEDs and planning to **** up Boston for a week?

All the FBI needs to know is if she knew her husband was in control of any type weapon or jihadist material or bomb making material or had contact with people who did. I understand if she hide any knowledge about one thing she could go to prison for a long time.

Right, and one cannot jump to the conclusion that she knew any of this merely because she was his wife and lived with him.

By the way, my M4 comments were tongue-in-cheek, in case anybody got the mistaken notion that I am in any way pro gun-control.

Mine weren't. In my world, if the police seize an illegal fire arm, they should immediately give it to the first law abiding citizen that walks by. I prefer the kind of gun control where the lawful majority has more firepower than the unlawful minority, with the government working to maintain the imbalance.

I think I could really like your world. What else happens in your world?

All I know is what was reported found in the small three room apartment.
"CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – Explosives were found Friday afternoon inside the Cambridge apartment where Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev lived.

CBS News’ John Miller reported that the FBI found explosives, pipe bombs with fuses, and some sort of synthetic powder inside that apartment on Norfolk Street, near the Somerville line.

FBI evidence response teams were seen going in and out of the triple decker, which neighbors said contained three separate living units. According to neighbors, Tamerlan Tsarnaev lived on the top floor of the home with a woman.

Right...and, none of that entails that she knew or ought to have known anything.

It's doesn't but this girl got mixed up into something bad. Pictures from inside show they lived in squalid ramshackle apartment and "Neighbors indicate that the Tsarnaev household was probably not a very happy one.
A man who lived next-door to the Tsarnaevs on Norfolk Street in Cambridge told The Boston Globe that he heard yelling "constantly" and that police would often show up at the Tsarnaevs' apartment. Another unidentified neighbor spoke of “screaming and arguments,” The Globe reported.

What married couple doesn't have arguments?

For everyone who thinks the wife knew because they were in the same house. How many men cheat on their wives for so long before it all comes out.

So if she knew exactly what was going down last Monday but chose not to report it you're saying spousal clause basically gives her immunity?

Color me skeptical.

I'm not going that far but if she was unaware except some personal questions she may have had to activities going on I could see it applying

Are you still trying to push the point that she knew? Or, now are you just bringing up points that suggest her life sucked?

As for "squalid, ramshackle apartment", you could not be further from the truth. Most grad students in Boston, especially in Cambridge, live in apartments just like the one Tsarnaev lived in. In fact, I would be willing to guess that Tsarvaev was paying over $1,600/month for his place (based on the location).

Back to the main point in contention, however, how does any of this connect this girl to the crimes in any way in which she could be deemed guilty?

1. These pictures were taken after a police search of the house, I presume.

2. Do you think that doing laundry was the highest priority for Tsarnaev from, let's say Friday the 12th through Friday the 19th?

Further, you keep trying to connect this to the wife; and, even in this BS piece of photo-journalism, the following line appears:

Tamerlan would honk his car horn as a hello when driving on the street. Although the older brother was married with a child, there was never any sign of his family at the apartment.

I'm not suggesting anything about graduate students. But this lifestyle by a working married couple with a child is something out of the ordinary. We know she was in the house with the bombs at least last week because she was the last one at the house after her husband left Thursday and bombs were found the next day, but supposedly they could have been hide. It's a miracle the child didn't find them.

Don't know if she knew anything or not but us married guys have to ask. Could you build bombs inside your house without your wife finding out?

I for one couldn't.
