It was reported someone saw blood on the boat and called it. Helicopter with heat sensor located him in boat.

I can't say for certain how I'd react if it were a loved one of mine in that position, but I'd like to think that my belief would hold true.

It's difficult for you to tell me how I'd react since, in addition to not being me, you also haven't been in the same situation as the victims' families.

Big (and i mean BIG) ups to the Boston PD for resolving this issue in a way that did not result in suspect #2's death... Hopefully we can find out some info that will lead to more arrests. If these kids were swayed to be radicals, somebody had to "mentor" them and I'd be interested to see who that may be.

How did they find him?

When they gave the all clear a woman came out of her house and saw blood on the boat and possible bloody clothes. She called it in and a heat sensor on a chopper confirmed someone was in the boat under the cover.

They used multiple flash bangs without success. They brought in a hostage negotiator who apparently talked him into surrendering.

I guess I should have used a different term than "might".....as it apparently confused you....just so you'll know....it's not something that crawls up a chicken's ass....and thankfully I haven't been in that situation, but the guy gave up his rights when he detonated a bomb on a public street killing and injuring innocent people....
