I believe this is a rerun. If it is the same interview as what I saw yesterday on Fox Sports South, Vonn didn't really give many clues. And, the guys said something about staying up late for the interview, which didn't make sense yesterday either unless it was from a few days ago.

Oh for the love of everything holy!!!!

Gru was offered everything he wanted he said no. Notice he's not taking any other jobs either.
He's done coaching.

As you were.

OH plez!!! I'm not gonna look up the links because they are everywhere about how he was never really interested in coaching at UT. Gruden was never coming here. His agent said so, and Gruden had no real interest.

Myself, along with the vast number of folks believe there were, however, a few made up stories about how Hart and Gruden were "close". How they had the money for Gruden but not the assistants he wanted, ... that was in negotiation, ... ad nauseum.

Now... you say he "was offered everything he wanted and he still said no."

I'm not calling you out or calling you names, I don't know where you got that information. You may actually believe it.

But, No, I do not believe Gruden was offered "everything he wanted".

I do believe Hart made overtures, Gruden said he wasn't interested, and that was it. His agent was barely involved until the rumors started flying, and then only to say, Gruden was not interested.

If you're going to make statements that fly in the face of everything out there, web or print journalism, then you really need to provide solid proof or you'll wind up being the kid who cried wolf. And you may indeed have that proof, I've never seen it.

Yeah, it must be a re-broadcast or at least a few days old. They mentioned M. North as being uncommitted. Come on Vonn!

Are you new to how a message board works?

You're new here so I will break down what I think happened for you.

A group of boosters went after Gru.
Gru made some crazy requests thinking that would end it. These boosters met those demands. Gru was never going to coach but had fun having his ego stroked.

I heard things from people I know and base my thinking on that.
I totally believe there was never official communication or any chance he would have come here to coach.

If you look back you will find out I was openly wanting Strong to get the job. You will also find I don't shiv a ghit what you or anyone thinks of my info. You don't like what I'm saying? Ignore me.

Those who now act like there was no unofficial communications between Gru and us are just uninformed.

Oh, and welcome aboard VN.

Way to jump in with your first few posts.

The fact is you know no more than anyone else. So your opinion caries no more weight than anyone elses. Which in turn means you are no more right than anyone else.
