Ran again yesterday. Still can't run an entire mile without walking some of it. But, over the 3 miles, I did a lot more running than walking. I'd guess that I prob ran close to 2 miles over all, and walked the rest. I'll take anything as a measure of progress.
When y'all do your intervals how are y'all doing them? I have been just using a track and sprinting the straight aways and walking the curves. Doing this as many times as I can stand it.
10 minute warm up
1-3 minute max
1-3 minute active recovery
Repeat 6-12x
10 minute cool down
I've read it's better to do timed intervals than distance intervals. If you go by distance your recovery period will subconsciously get longer when you get tired. Timed intervals forces you to not cheat on the recovery.
