Jones is a proven winner. Certainly not at the level we want to see but he is a winner and DD had never been that.

Jones wasn't born in third base like DD. He has had humble beginnings and will have a huge chip on his shoulder.

All of you that found a way to hook line and sinker follow an anonymous poster that clearly isn't a VFL and has his Texas A&M shirt on this morning can surely find a way to support a man that has won championships at every stop along the way during his career.

Not on you but I strongly feel this type of "support no matter what" type thinking has led to the revolving door of UT Presidents/Chancellors. Its also led to Hamilton being around as long as he was and now Hart.

Some REAL changes need to be made in the UT administration.

Boomer_Vol did say that one would get "so close" that we would want to puke, cry, or both...I'm am PRAYING that this is what he/she/it was talking about...

I can't believe it, just like the rest of you.

Only thing I've heard is that Hart put pretty much did this and made it happen before the boosters could get in the way of it.

You really should have gotten a degree in something other that fraternity studies. Reports that I am hearing from "sources" (i.e. media) are that the Haslam's cooled on Gruden and that is why it didn't go through. You just don't get that Hart was a puppet in the Gruden deal and that everything was done behind closed doors WITHOUT him. How do you think that any details that there were, were kept so closely guarded? If Hart had been jetting around we would have known about it immediately. I would imagine Hart was told to sit still and work on the contract and that the "negotiators" would handle it. They handled it and they stopped the deal. Stop blaming someone for your inability to have a life other than UT football and for not being able to spell.

Charlie Strong was reportedly being hired as our head coach...he is coaching Louisville last time I checked. CALM DOWN! At least respect our university enough to wait until an official announcement. This would be SUCH a bad hire that (coming after Dooley) I don't even believe it's true. Remember just a few days ago even ESPN was reporting Strong was going to be our coach but it never happened. wait until the announcement

Perhaps jones backs out at last minute. This makes no sense this hire. We were better with strong, something seems a foul. I dont care what there website says. Im still all in til i see who comes to the podium.
