i will say this, Dave Hart deserves an incredible amount of blame and shame at this point for not managing the PR side of this hire. And I feel bad for Coach Jones because of that. Also, and I believe this, Jimmy Cheek needs to be shown the door.

You all need to grow up. The smell of your desperation stinks up the whole state of Tennessee. This guy can coach and he'll be given everything he needs to get the job done. The embarrassment is in how this search has been handled. The public rejectionss and the perception of TN football through the media has been painful I agree. Hart has certainly made the university AD look foolish the whole way. Let's support this next coach. I won't base my opinion of Jones on one game. He's young, energetic, runs a clean program, his players play hard for him. He's a diamond in the rough...it's gonna be good.

If you are a true vol then you will put your negativity aside and give this guy a chance. He is going to be compared unmercifully to DD but when you do remember 2 huge differences.

Jones is a proven winner. Certainly not at the level we want to see but he is a winner and DD had never been that.

Jones wasn't born in third base like DD. He has had humble beginnings and will have a huge chip on his shoulder.

All of you that found a way to hook line and sinker follow an anonymous poster that clearly isn't a VFL and has his Texas A&M shirt on this morning can surely find a way to support a man that has won championships at every stop along the way during his career.
