I believe there is more to this story than we are being told... I am not sure who is the mole, and who is feeding the company line and who is posting fact.

What I do know....is if it were a done deal two weeks ago... it is still a done deal today...

If it is over today...it is NOT because we did not offer enough money.... there are still too many holes in this story

Hart needs to recruit Fulmer and go hit up some former donors that quit giving money after he left and make this happen.
Needs to enlist everyone. That is the role he was given to play. The next two weeks is when he better play it.

The short version is people were talking above their pay grade imo, at least that's what I think with my sources.

Thing is, rumors can take on a life of their own. I have been afraid of that. I have named my sources to several and some of us ended up having sources in common. I only posted about 10% of what I heard. I cannot speak for others, but as far as the people I know it appears they "Wrote a check their ass couldn't cash" and also started recognizing rumors as fact through repetition.

Thats my "guess" as to what happened. Just being as honest as I can. If I could name the people that have told me the things I posted you would have believed them too. Any of those I shared info privately with can attest to this.

Any clue as to why Hart let it snowball and decided to say nothing?

I think times like this can be difficult for the fan base or any person bc it is easy to get caught up in what isn't happening or what didn't go our way... instead of building positive momentum and taking small steps towards the goal.

I read remarks about what the other team has or what the other team is doing instead of focusing on what we currently have and focusing on where we are wanting to go.

I'll even admit to falling for that trap. At some point we have to all (as much as possible) get on the same page. We do have great players, great tradition, and great facilities. We have a great staff. Lets focus on encouraging our players, trusting Hart, and being positive. It could always be much worse and we are truly blessed to have what we have now.

^ This 100%. I smell some big rats about all of this today. I still can hear Dr Jerry Punch saying emphatically "I believe Dave Hart has his man.
