You'd think you guys have never negotiated anything before . . .
You have to give the impression you're willing to walk away .... even when you're not. I'm telling you this is two sides negotiating the heck out of this. That doesn't generally happen unless both sides are intent on making a deal work.
I've been looking over numbers in college and NFL, and a lot of it doesn't make sense... colleges like Alabama bring in 150 million+ a year in revenue, but only profit a few million, then teams like the Browns have 250 million a year in revenue and profit, even while paying their players, which the NCAA doesn't do... trying to figure out each teams yearly expense breakdowns.
Tressel can't coach here with NCAA problems. Petrino can't sit in a living room and talk to parents, without being looked at as a man cheating on his wife with a blonde bimbo half his age.
Chris Lowe from ESPN just said no chance Gruden comes. He's been high on the bandwagon since the beginning.
He's very connected in Knoxville, not sure what changed his tone :-(
Has anybody pointed out that Hyams' report today completely contradicts the report he made a week ago?
I think these rumors are stupid,
thinking that the program will fall apart without Gruden is stupid,
people making stuff up for e-cred is stupid,
people dragging back every half-baked shred of anything they see on twitter without digging into it in the slightest is stupid,
and most of all people asking if there is a press conference in 30 minutes are really freakin stupid.
That said, Hyams is clearly FOS.
