If you'll look back, I didnt post anything about this meeting today. Not one word. Whether I knew about it is inconsequential.

The "soon" moment came from Jay, and OldVol, and may or may not have been about the same meeting.

I post what I can when I can. I verify when people ask. And if things change based upon where my info came from I'll post it.

Believe what you want.....hell, find your own information. Rely on Hyams, Hubbs, and Rucker. IDGAF.

As a side note, Hubbs is trying to contact Gruden's agent for a statement. That could be interesting or it could amount to nothing at all.

Something else to think about. Not sure if it should concern you or make you feel better. If Hart had done any interviews don't you think a name or two would definitely leaked out by now. Whether by the AD dept. or someone related to the interviewee. For the amount of time we have been without a coach it either means we have a deal ready to go or our AD sucks. I am HOPING he has not waited this long to begin a coaching search.

and now we have people already pulling out of their fake investing into UT next year and a coach hasn't even been named.

Have to agree with this. Again, Gruden sidestepped the issue with Mike and Mike, and the AD's office would come out and squash the Grumors if they were indeed done, just to save face with the fan base, if possible.

There's one element we're all dancing around that needs to be mentioned. Yes, this is business, and egos in negotiations can lead to irrationale or emotional behavior. But with Gruden's publically professed love of UT, and his wife's strong connection to UT, do you really think he would allow anything to happen to embarass UT? Seriously? I have no clue of whether he's coming or not, but there is also no way I can believe he's using UT or that he's allowing his emotions to generate responses or non responses that could be embarassing to UT.

I also think Hubbs/Hyams geniunely believe what their sources are telling them to be true. But if we can be led to believe the wrong thing by rumors, so can their sources. So before I react to any of this I have to come back to what we know. Whether he ends up as our coach or not, Jon Gruden and his wife, Cindy, love UT.

I am all about the smokescreen thing but wouldn't have been better for Hart and Gruden to deney is candidacy for the job in the very begining....then secretly work to make it happen! Hart would still he a hero and a genius! They have to had discussed how they were gonna play this in the media...right? Well whoever had the idea of the current plan is a moron!

For all those losing their minds over what Hyams said remember he emphatically less than 3 hours before the kickoff against South Carolina said we would not be wearing black jersey's. It was absolutely ridiculous. What happened? We wore black jerseys. You think they made that decision, ordered the jerseys, had them shipped in and then put in the locker room in under 3 hours? It just goes to show that he doesn't know what he is talking about and literally throws stuff out there to see what sticks. Maybe there was a cancelled meeting. Maybe like others have said it was cancelled because they already met. Who knows. This is also the same man that said no interviews had taken place and less than 5% chance on Gruden and now all of a sudden they were scheduled to meet face to face. I thought Hart hadn't talked with anyone. What about this coaches clinic he is suppose to wait on in order to interview people? He is as clueless as most people on this board. Don't jump off the bridge because Janet Reno said a meeting was cancelled.

By idiot, I assume you mean we Grudenites. Note that many of the folks that sTROLL through here wouldn't willingly give any candidate a chance, Gruden or otherwise.

I am optimistic it's Gruden, but if not, I'm confident that Hart will make a solid hire that is right for UT Football and the fan base, in that order

I'm less patient now than I was on election night - and I work in politics, so that's saying something. Also, I'm a Raiders fan so I've always loved Gruden.
Let's see this thing through and watch the W's roll in.
