he's been there two years.

in Shannons last two years they won more games, sold more tickets, and had higher ranked recruiting class avg than they have in Goldens first two years.

Randy Shannon was fired for his results but Golden is a good coach?

He works at Hertz rental at the airport. He also said the ATL office brought up a brand new caddillac for this reservation. Then obviously Hyams reported on this meeting today so it lead me to believe this reservation was legit.

Maybe Gruden wants to save Mr Hart some AD $. If he's going to interview Golden tomorrow then he can just swing by and interview Jon instead of flying to Florida 2 days in a row.

At the Iron bowl last week, I sat next to an alumni who told me the "actual" story of how Saban was hired. Mal Moore was in Miami, talked to Saban and back in Tuscaloosa and not even his staff or assistants knew about it. He was given a blank check by the boosters to get Saban and did all of it under the dead of night. Literally. Wonder if Hart learned a thing or two.

...and Gruden has stated his love for the University...so why would he humiliate us like that?? I call bull$hit. Hyams and Hubbs are getting worked I think.

Meetings get cancelled and rescheduled all the time. I am trying to not read too much into it given the lack of corroboration and literally not a peep from the AD.

I still stand by the reasoning that Hart is not stupid. He knows the fanbase is salivating for Gruden. He knows any other name will be a turd in the punchbowl. The only way to have this NOT happen would be for Hart himself to address this and announce something definitive. Until THAT HAPPENS I will believe it is more than likely that Gruden is the Vols next HC. Now will I still be at 80% plus into next week? No. But nothing can make me drop under 50-50 short of a University or Jon Gruden announcement specifically stating he is NOT a candidate for the job.

This could be a hiccup, a non story, false, true, we do not know. Try to not let the sky hit you guys in the head.

BC, is it possible that everything was lined up, but Gruden got spooked at the eleventh hour and is backing away?

Some of y'all have GOT to calm down. It's getting nasty in here. Like a bunch of smokers who haven't had a cigarette in a good 8 hours -- really irritable and on edge. People are throwing personal attacks towards Dave Hart, Al Golden, Larry Fedora, and other posters.

It's all going to be okay.

I think people are missing the fact that we are the only job that he has canceled an interview for. It may be over good or bad. We have made a serious run at him, and as someone whom does pay the highest ticket prices in the SEC on a regular basis, that does please me.

Everyone in meltdown mode over here? Don't be. Think of the last 24 hours and what's happened with the Memphis report and Mike and Mike. How would someone try to publicly put out a fire they don't want to be noticed? That's right, use your local mouthpieces. Everyone relax...

The sheep quote him ALL the time. It's really not that hard to see stuff he says. Like I said I'm not gonna bash the guy because I don't know him. But too just blindly follow what someone says with no proof seems a bit ridiculous to me.
