Worried about Gruden playing catch-up with the class of 2013? Consider the fact that the current television personality has spent more time in most prospects’ living rooms through Monday Night Football broadcasts and ESPN QB Camp footage than all the other head coaches recruiting them combined.

This is awesome.

I guess everyone disagrees with me lol.

On Petersen, I love the offense they run at Boise State. They are very multiple, but at heart they just want to run it right at you. Both Harsin and Pease (former OC at Boise) have gone on to big time BCS OC jobs and done well. Petersen does a great job every year of identifying talent in recruiting and developing it. I know some Boise coaches haven't done well in the past, but I really think Petersen is one of the best coaches in the country.

On Stoops, I don't think he's a bad coach I just don't really like the fit. I though UK would have been better off gonig with a young offensive minded coach.

JMO.

I have heard that because he is a scientologist he would get killed in recruiting in the south

Good hire for Ky imo Stoops,Dykes and Taggart are the few guys who could win 7 games a year at Ky. He'll get solid 3 and 4 star players out of Fla, Memphis, L'ville, Ohio and other midwest cities. If he brings Dj Eliot and Hudson from FSU he has the blueprint for a solid D. Going to need to hire an OC who can be creative or someone with spread background to score some points.

Further justification for why UT needs to hang on to Pittman. Dooley's best position coach hire, IMO.

“It wouldn’t affect my commitment (if Pittman leaves),” Sanders said. “But Coach Pittman, he’s just a good coach, and he’s one of the guys on the team that you’d want to play for. If you had to play for anybody, Coach Pittman would be the guy you wanted to play for, you know? He’s such a good coach, and he’s such a good guy — not just as a coach, but as your friend and father figure.

“He’s something else. He’s an awesome guy. It wouldn’t change my commitment, but I’d be sad to see him leave, and I’d be disappointed because I think that’d be the wrong decision.”

This was also nice to read:

“I think I went Wednesday, and I went and talked to Coach Pittman, and he cleared things up,” Sanders said. “He was like, ‘You don’t have nothing to worry about. I’m going to try to stay here.’ Him and (running backs) coach (Jay) Graham are going to try to stay.

Jim Chaney? Or, Texas Tech's OC would be first on my list if I were him.

Hart is making a mistake by not releasing something saying Gruden turned us down or something, majority of the fan base will be upset no matter who the hire is if Gruden isn't introduced.

The only logical conclusion is that we've got him. Surely he wouldn't let this thing rage out of control like this. We have matches and mattresses damit!

I was thinking the same thing. If he announces a new coach not Gruden before deflating some of the expectations, he will not endear himself to the fanbase.

You make an interesting point.

I think he's a pretty intelligent guy and has the pulse of the fanbase in the back of his mind because that is important as well. He needs to win the PC. It does make one wonder why he would set up the next guy as a deflating hire to the fans right out of the gate. Doesn't seem fair to the next guy.
