Y'all may recall that Romney's team was super stealthy when they announced Ryan as his running mate- Ryan was dropped off at his house in Wisconsin, he immediately went out his back door, walked through some woods, and was picked up and whisked away to Virginia for the announcement.

Please please please oh please tell me that Hart has something like this up his sleeve.

I agree we can't allow too much control by Gruden...just look at what Saban has done to Alabama football...oh....yeah....never mind.

I hope you dont believe that Hubbs really thinks that Hart is even making the choice. He may be the face and name making the statements but I dont believe he is hiring anyone that the Money men dont approve first. His press conference said it all, no search firm. Thats because we already have one, its the TN 5! When was the last time you heard us or any college not use a search firm to hire a coach.

when the Announcement is made it will have a Stamp on that say Approved By Manning/Haslim

Why does babyvol feel uncomfortable with naming the requests?

At some point, whether this goes through our not, we will find out what they are, but the way he words it, sounds like very ethically sensitive stuff.
It does sound like some ethical issues have arisen and logically that leads me to think of some sort of NCAA requirements and leaves the university in a perilous position.
I think that would be the only possible reason UT could say no at this point.

I think the admin is going to review it Sunday.. At least I think that is what they said this morning on Sportcenter.

I seen that, I dont think there is much to review. All they have to do is tune in to ESPN show lol. I can see jumping on players but this coach too it to another level.

There is also some worry that Gruden may be hard to control if hired.-babyvol

This is what scares me.

You don't get to this stage in the process and back out because you fear some folks will get butthurt over control issues. When Gruden is winning big and bringing in elite talent by the truckload, "control" will be an afterthought.

Babyavi
Chill out. Babyvol say 99% sure, and that's from the AD side, which hasn't said much yet. We are good.

I would venture any coach worth a damn is type A. Our culture needs to change regardless if it's Gruden or not.

I totally agree with what the program needs. But still, it's nice to approach it from all angles and look at positives and negatives of the hire.

We always like to focus on the positives because of how terrible UT has been the past 5 years. Gruden brings a huge name, great coaching skills, and relentless work ethic

I worry about recruiting violations, his approach on the sideline with players, and press conferences when he loses. Those are the things we see.

How is he going to react to having the multiple bosses with big money moving this deal? It's got to be awkward for him to not really know who he technically reports to. Since this is boosters doing this work not Hart as many have said.

I think its done. I'm not implying its not. I think it will be a great boost. But I am just saying, he is feisty!
