I hope you dont believe that Hubbs really thinks that Hart is even making the choice. He may be the face and name making the statements but I dont believe he is hiring anyone that the Money men dont approve first. His press conference said it all, no search firm. Thats because we already have one, its the TN 5! When was the last time you heard us or any college not use a search firm to hire a coach.
It does sound like some ethical issues have arisen and logically that leads me to think of some sort of NCAA requirements and leaves the university in a perilous position. Why does babyvol feel uncomfortable with naming the requests?
At some point, whether this goes through our not, we will find out what they are, but the way he words it, sounds like very ethically sensitive stuff.
There is also some worry that Gruden may be hard to control if hired.-babyvol
This is what scares me.
I would venture any coach worth a damn is type A. Our culture needs to change regardless if it's Gruden or not.
You don't get to this stage in the process and back out because you fear some folks will get butthurt over control issues. When Gruden is winning big and bringing in elite talent by the truckload, "control" will be an afterthought.
