Hope everyone has had a grudetastic thanksgruden!! I'm so ready for this to happen, just wish it would hurry. I woke up to a few text messages from barners and bammers saying things like "sorry, I heard Arky is getting Gruden"... And many more at dinner today saying the same thing!! I had to break it down for these message board/ twitter-less fools that they are about a few days behind... And that it was a done deal!! Finally after finishing my BIG orange rant, my husband (barn fan) laughs and tells everyone they should have known better than to start an arguement they would never win. He told them that he lost his wife to VOLnation immediately following the Ms. St game and he wishes It would be announced soon so he could have his wife back...lol

I can see people not willing to accept that Gruden would take a college job. . .but I have serious questions regarding the mental stability of anyone who thinks he would go to Arkansas over UT.

Every Vol fan nation wide is all ears and eyes, waiting for what they believe is the inevitable "he's headed to UT", but instead hear and see he's signed with Arkansas!
Then while the Vol nation watches on in stunned silence, Jon & Cindy Gruden join in on a Hog call! Woooooooooooooooooo, Pigs, Sooie!

It's at that exact moment they all flood out into the streets and beign burning matresses and destroying public property.

I hope you dont believe that Hubbs really thinks that Hart is even making the choice. He may be the face and name making the statements but I dont believe he is hiring anyone that the Money men dont approve first. His press conference said it all, no search firm. Thats because we already have one, its the TN 5! When was the last time you heard us or any college not use a search firm to hire a coach.

I hate to act like a debbie downer, but I agree with the control issues of Gruden. I think this thing could implode in our face if he doesn't get what he wants once he is here. Not that I don't want him to come, but he is going to ask for a lot. There def has been some progress with the AD and Chancellor, but not sure it's ready for a very Type-A guy like Gruden.

I agree, but we are talking about bammers and barners here. Pure dumbarsery at its finest. I guess that's expected when live in hell... Aka Birmingham, AL

After seeing Babyvol's post in the Cliff notes section it looks to be a done deal, but Gruden is injecting conditions that may make it impossible to comply. Gruden has to know that there are requirements by the NCAA and the school that would put us in jeopardy. Just have to wonder what he is proposing and why?

There are also statements about control that concerns Hart and the big boosters. Are they realistic? Is Gruden inserting these changes because he has second thoughts? Is it a way to provide a way out for both parties now that things have gotten so deep?

Just curious. But it does look like the OG's were right on with this thing all along.
