If this breaks this weekend, I can't wait to see Hyams face on that sportsource show with pennington...should be epic. Random, but Hyams looks more like Opie Taylor than Ron Howard...he looks like I would have imagined Opie to look like all grown up

Hyams reminds me of Janet Reno if she were a little less butch.

Now I know why my son loves going to LSU.

Yep, divided household Momma and half the kids are LSU fans and me and the other half are all Vol.

I do NOT claim to be "in the know" in any way shape or form. However, I heard something interesting from a friend. His family is very well established in Cleveland (i.e., multiple family members have held state and federal political offices). He says that he has heard Gruden is being offered a stake in the Cleveland Browns franchise from Haslam if he accepts the HC job at Tennessee. This would obviously not be part of the official contract, but if this is true, it sounds like they are working every possible angle.

When Haslam sat down with Jon in Cleveland over a month ago, it wasn't to shoot the $hit.

Coffee is for closers. First prize, a Cadillac.

Look, I know I haven't posted much, but I've been glued to this forum like white on rice. I can't handle it anymore. For my health and the health of all my fellow Vol fans, PLEASE confirm, Gruden!

The mandatory number of interviews must take place before it can be officially announced. They can be done over the phone. Not a prediction but if that gets taken care of, it might break this weekend.

Hey. Is this Al? Al Golden?

Sorry to mess up your family dinner. This is Dave Hart. Tennessee AD. Would you be interested in taking the head coaching position at Tennessee for $8.25 an hour?

No? Well, bummer. Hope your family has a happy Thanksgiving.

Not doubting you, but did they do that when hiring Dooley?

I have never seen a coaching search without an in-person interview. That usually gets out. It got out a year ago when UT interviewed Phil Bennett and Sunseri for the DC job and it got out when Dooley was interviewed. So are you saying they have already interviewed in person?

I'm not trying to bash, just giving my opinion.
