I do. Most are saying announcement next Friday, 11/30. I'll be surprised if they can keep it quiet that long though. I'd prefer they announced today :)

I wish I had your confidence. I'm much more willing to believe now that a lot of negotiating has occurred behind the scenes and that we are really close. But I dont believe it is a done deal. And I think there is a higher likelihood that he walks versus taking the offer, given his background in the NFL.

I see this like a major recruit saying he is 99 percent to Tennessee a couple of days before NSD and then signing elsewhere.

Unless someone is 100 percent, they are only modestly better than 0 percent IMO.

Worley played against Bama, in addition to GA State and Vandy. I bet he gets into the Kentucky game one way or the other.

I will say, Worley's arm strength has impressed me in his short stints this year. He is also pretty efficient with getting the ball out. He would do fairly solidly if he was our starter, I believe. I wouldn't blame him for going elsewhere if Bray comes back, though.

Ahh yes, forgot he played late vs bama. Thanks. Would've been nice to get him a RS in one of his two years but whatever. Glad Peterman was able to this year. Looking forward to seeing him. We haven't had a mobile qb since Tee left.

That is not true. There is nothing about this on Dan Patrick's twitter.

Doesn't mean is not true, pretty sure the consensus is he said it on his show. He also is reported to have said that if he was gruden he would stay at ESPN. Which is odd considering his feelings about the mothership

I was reading an article about Worley waiting for the new coach announcement to see if he will fit in his system & thought about something. If Worley didnt play vs vandy could he have used his redshirt?

I know he played vs Akron & GaSt but can't remember any other time he got pt. I'm not exactly sure what the rules are for redshirting. I've heard it's burned after a certain point in the season (say like after 4th game) & also heard it's burned after a certain percentage of playing time (meaning the player didn't play in more than 10% or 20% of plays).

Anybody know how this works? Surely Dooley didn't blow an opportunity to RS Worley by playing him vs vandy, right?

It's not plays, it's games and his was burned by showing up in the Akron game(His second appearance). Getting him some experience is more important than an RS with Bray most likely leaving, so no issues there. I kind of think Peterman is the future, or was atleast in the last staff's eyes.

If he's good he won't need that RS year, he'll go pro. If he's not good, Peterman or some new recruit will replace him before that 5th year and it won't matter anyway.

Zach Fulton, James Stone, and J. James were all seen heading into Hart's office a little bit ago. James made it clear on Monday how important Sam Pittman was and that they were going to see Hart about it and it appears that happened this afternoon.

It would be nice for Pittman to be retained by the next HC. The OL has done very well this year. CSP and CJG have both made a huge improvement with the run game.

The only knock on the Oline seems to be too many penalties. Hopefully if Pittman is retained, they will cut down on those penalties.

A lot of those seem to have been Tiny, although I'm not sure the exact breakout. Given he's a first year starter, I've given him a pass on those.

Still, agree they need to cut those down.

For those who wanted TT to come back to UT. Read it and weep.NCAA investigating Auburn's football program - Yahoo! Sports

News just breaking in Auburn. Jist is that NCAA looking at AU for improper grade changes and maybe transportation by a booster to AU.

This could void Chiz's buyout in that his contract explicitly states NCAA investigations of him or his staff could suspend his payment.

Erin Andrews was on 3HL just now, and said that she was told by someone very close to the situation that it was on the verge of being a done deal. (This is a total 180 from she has previously said. Her and Clay Travis actually have a bet over whether or not Gruden is UT's next coach.)

This is getting really interesting. Hubbs just said on the radio that he highly doubts Gruden will be the next coach at UT.

Why all the conflicting reports and opinions?

I think a lot of it has to do with the whole "been there, done that" feel to this coaching search thing. Hubbs himself has stated that there is some mutual interest between UT and Gruden, and that Gruden has contacted potential staff members for the college level specifically, but I think Hubbs' doubt stems from an I need to see it to believe it standpoint.

Yeah I mean the OLine has played great for the most part. Just gotta cut down on those simple penalties. I think they can do it though.

Hubbs has said multiple times today on VQ "I need to see it to believe it". Which tells me he's definitely been told by at least one trusted source it's happening. He also said that if it happens Zook will probably be the DC.
