No. We need an elite recruiter. Consistent top 5-10 type guy.
I think anyone can be an elite recruiter here. Obviously someone at a lesser program cannot pull the recruits at a school like TN no matter how charismatic or whatever the coach.
But when a coach gets at a school like TN then it makes all his recruiting "tactics" better and he turn into an "elite" recruiter
Serious??? They didn't play Florida or SCAR. Two top quality opponents. You can argue about the offenses not being great but they would challenge Bama in the trenches just like they both did to LSU. I don't care about FSU. I'm talking Bama and that soft schedule. And that defense isn't better than LSU or Florida's units.
Exactly. There's a MAJOR difference between top 20 and top 5. Most people can't see it.
Patterson could sign top ten classes here.
Based on what? He is in the most fertile area for recruiting there is and hes still not blowing any doors off recruiting nor by winning anything.
Still waiting on someone to tell me what he has done thats so special other than one good season and a win over Wisconsin.
Dre Kirkpatrick garbage???? Did he pick you off in high school
And Kareem Jackson is Houston's #2 and got an INT last night
What does it matter if you are recruiting juco guys or hs school guys??? I don't understand.
I'm a bit older than Dre. And anyone in this forum will tell you I will recognize good CB play from any CB no matter what school.
Dre Kirkpatrick was given more help in coverage last year than #13 a first year player is given this year. How many picks did Dre get in 3 years at Bama? I think about two. When Dre was matched up with a top notch WR(Alshon Jeffrey) what happened? He got destroyed. Greg Childs was lighting him up before Mallet lost his mind second half.
Juco or HS guys huh??? We're getting one year out of Sentimore and CP due to grade concerns most good juco kids have. Can't build a program on jucos in the SEC man. I stated that Saban isn't getting as many good HS CBs as you would expect him to get. Not hating but I thought he would've recruited the position much better. It cost him Saturday not having enough CBs to cover the spread.
Florida has statically one of the worst offense in the nation (104 in total offense) and south carlina is 90th. I know the SEC isnt an offensive league but that's pretty bad. So i'm not sure what amazing offenses bama has been avoiding.
